No chance that is stock turbo and fly wheel,turbo goes bad at around 250k km,fly wheel as well.

@jim mick actually there are two versions of the 2.5 TDI, the older 5 cylinder which is reliable AF and the newer V6 TDI version which is suffering from the Bosch VP fuel injector issue

Great engine. We own the 131PS version for over 215.000 km and over 10 jears now. (actually 327.000km) Still running great without any problems. First turbo, clutch, exhaust etc..

i got the same 1.9 tdi quattro 135HP for 10 years and didn t sold it even with 440 000 km, never had any issue, most reliable car i ever owned, so i kept it even if i don t drive a lot with it anymore !

I have this car, 1.9 tdi 100 from 2004 (AVB code) and it has 398,000 km on it (247,000 miles). It's on the original clutch and flywheel too, but in 2011 it had the turbo reconditioned. Even so, they are impressive motors! The last of the 'golden era' of indestructible VW/Audi diesel engines. I can confirm that even in the heavy Audi A4 estate (1500kg), the 100hp feels like more than 100hp. It reached this high mileage even with the EGR force-feeding it its own filth for 16 years. I have disabled the egr now and it feels even better to drive.

One of the best engines, will go on forever and a day extra if you look after it, they hold their power, super reliable, economical, and very capable for tuning 👌 I know examples with 1,000,000+km and still going strong, can’t see todays 1.0 3 cyl ecoshit do that

This was my car for a while, mine had 315 thousand kilometers on the clock and eventually broke down on the motorway, engine didn't die and it got sold but always will have a special place in my heart this lovely little wagon.

@@b9brap123 dpf issues only there if you drive them in city only and dont take them out on motorway runs, but thats the same with the 1.9tdi, keep driving it in town and the egr and turbo gets clogged up bad, just there wont be a light telling you it is...

I had the audi a4 B7 1.9 tdi 116 ps, sold with the beauty of 490,000 km, then an audi a3 1.9 tdi 105 ps, sold with 400,000 km, never had a problem. 1.9 tdi great engine🔝🇩🇪

I have one from 2002 1.9 tdi avant pd 130 with 335569 km, original turbo, original clutch ,motor, turbo... and no repro, it goes almost 230km/h...i just have to say good things about this car. Zero problems in 4 years and 200thousands made on the car. Its a war machine 😃

I have also this car, 20 years old/370.000 km. Original engine, turbo, gearbox. Clutch changed already. Otherwise still no serious problems.

My 04 1.9tdi A4 130hp lasted 384000km before replacing the engine/gearbox due to head gasket failure. Still going strong now with over 400000km on the clock here in South Africa. Just a shame we don't have an autobahn... Love these cars!

We still own an Audi A4 B6 1.9 TDI Berline 131Hp with 397 000km (18 years.. december 2003) in 5 speeds manual (FWD) and still an amazing car ! Accelarationn cutting the breath and fiability incredible.

real speed of this audi on straight autobahn/highway without downhills are around 190-195km/h at best if one person are in car and without some (heavy) luggage in car too !! factory speed are 191 for caravan version of this audi a4

Nice but nothing crazy if a car is maintained well. Theres a 530d e60 in our family for 19 years. Original turbo, gearbox and engine of course. The injectors have to be replaced and also the Wandler in the gearbox but other than that it still does great :)

Audi has better gearing than vw,so that is why it hits 200+. It is not remaped,I had same b6 with 1.9 and 115hp,it could go almost 220 kmph

Plus, I know this TDI generation is known for being under estimated power. I remember that Golf Mk4 tdi were often more powered than they have been announced. But I was confused first because all the tdi 105 I have observed doesn't feels much this powerful.

I reached 320 000 km with a 1.9 TDI Skoda Octavia before reselling (same engine as A4) . No once mechanical problem .

Im Golf 5 geht der Motor noch echt klar, aber hier im A4 ist er doch etwas träge. Dann doch lieber den 1.9 TDI AVF mit 131 PS, der steht dem gut!

I've bought this car brand new (mine was benzin though), notice that the speedo error is huuuuge on those B6s. Around 15kph error at 170kph for example.

Yes, now I own the same car (1.8Т 190hp) and over 140kph the speedo shows 15kph more than the real speed, over 100kph the difference is 10kph

i have the same car (B5 1998) in Grey !!! 374 000 Km with the 1.9 TDI 110. THE BEST MOTOR !

The old 1.9 tdi was one of the most reliable engien ever. Till today you can find people tuning it with additional 30/50% more power. Especially gold had an variant of 1.9 tdi with 180 bhp as standard. And we looking nearly 20 years ago.

220km/h with just 101 HP in a heavy car ? My sister had a Renault laguna 2.0 Turbo diesel with 172 hP and it run at 225 !
