Reminded some of the motion picture " the Grapes of Wrath." they had to stay together to survive. The strength of unity.

I was a surprised by how much I loved & was moved by this movie. Frances is more stellar than ever as Fern. The fierce determination of the characters to live life on their own was intoxicating! This story kept me on the edge of my seat. The two most disappointing factors were the real lack of quality health care and the abysmally low wages paid, especially by monster-chain Amazon. Nomadland is now one of my favorite movies showing the fierce resilience of humanity. I truly also loved the beautiful, geographic v

It really grew on me and I know I will never forget it. How refreshing to see a new part of life that is never featured in films. The humanity of the story affects all of us as human beings. Thank you for the wonderful review

Just watched this movie. Probably not for everyone , but all movies are like that. Life is what you make of it. I am comfortably retired and have gone to Quartzsite almost every year since 1997. Its a wonderful experience. I love to boondock and see the country on my schedule not bound by employer vacation timelines. RV lifestyle is special. Those that have never done it will never understand. Well done to all those involved with this movie. I liked it.

I wanted to see this movie since Frances was fantastic in "Fargo". In the '90s I followed the Tightwad Mother Amy Dacyczyn who had 6 children & appeared on Phil Donahue's show four time. Her books on frugal living were bestsellers, but she taught saving pennies for a rainy day. These people are prime examples of what she taught we needed to prepare for so we didn't find ourselves broke. All 6 of her kids finished college & she is retired in Leeds, Maine.

I really liked the movie, it was very familiar feeling, I have followed quite a few nomads on KZfaq . I’ve been yearning for the lifestyle for years, only if I could travel with a tribe.

Yes! Please! More videos like this one!! Please review "Promising Young Woman." Pretty please! It has a controversial ending and it's about a social issue that still is a problem. I think it's a genius dark movie about a very important social issue.

Just watched it on VUDU and I'm happy I only rented it. I didn't enjoy much of the movie with the exception of the fantastic scenery. While some romanticize the lifestyle as shown, it looked cold, miserable, and lonesome. I've traveled and will again, but in a comfortable camper or RV. There is NOTHING pleasant about being cold, damp, and moldy, particularly when you're a senior. Movies are subjective and always will be so I'm happy some really enjoyed it, it just so happens I wasn't one of them.

Zhao is so far removed from reality its pathetic. A woman in this situation isn't a "free spirit finding herself". This is harsh and brutal. She chose not to show the true working conditions in Amazon. And when given the option of love, home, family, she choses to stay and in a van and shit in a bucket. Yeah most women in their 60's would prefer that. This is to make the uber rich feel good about the plight of these people because, after all, Fern choses to stay. Show the uncompensated injuries these older workers get at Amazon and other seasonal, temporary job. Its a disgrace.. This isn't a flower child finding themselves. This is a homeless elderly woman.

The. Movie should have been titled “Fake News goes to Hollywood” The director has taken a small segment of down and out van dwellers ( there are lots of very expensive van) as representative of the full time rv lifestyle. That is a lie. Most full timers are successfully retired people or people who have found a niche on KZfaq promoting product or selling how to videos. Bob Wells is an example of the latter. Hr may live like a hobo but he is a huckster professing expertise in all things RV and does very well doing it. I have seen many people living in cars parked in the same BLM as very expensive motor coaches with sat tv , on board washers and dryers, and outdoor entertainment centers. If the director wanted to depict the life style she should have made a researched documentary and not a maudlin fiction. Fake Hollywood .
