(Pretty sure that) Every level of the challenge has the dev's validation bot in it, I think the keypad behind the spawn platform is meant to move the ceiling for the bot to drop down. You can force it with the lift though, so if you were that way inclined, you could cheese the whole pack.

Multiplayer idea: you build front half of a vehicle, while the other person builds a back half. Then you try to connect them. Try setting the diameter of the middle part before tho.

It is! I have one in the ceiling for every level except the last one, just to make clearing the levels for upload easier since you need to beat the level before uploading, that's what the keypad behind the player is for

A little note is that when you were making the robot go forwards when both or neither of the sensors were active you could use an xnor gate instead. Great video so far.

I love how you used the pipe pieces to do some convoluted structure to bring the wheels back in! you could've just put the pistons one block back, and it would be perfectly 4 blocks wide, that's the intended way but hey, as long as it works!

No not exactly, he can’t do that because the wheels need bearings to drive and he couldn’t attach bearings to the piston so he needed to use pipe pieces to allow for bearings

@@donkey2340 He makes a really long pipe section instead of putting the pistons deeper and then pipes where the pistons would have been which now allows for bearings. To account for asymmetry he can just put two curves. It's far simpler than what he ended up doing.

I really would have like to see that Vehicle that was hidden in the ceiling @ 31:37... Because there are parts that look like they come from Fants Mod, the Fant Mod Gyros to be exact. And If you could use those... then turning would be soooo much, much, MUCH more easy to do!

I'm loving this series of videos. I personally love the trying to figure something out and then that feeling of accomplishment when it finally works. It kind of feels like you are getting that feeling of accomplishment and it's SO awesome to see the gears turn and watch the solution

@@Jonanation He wouldn't have to mess with timing on the wide part, it would just drive straight over and become narrow as it gets to that part.

On the second challenger you didn’t need to steer, so you could have saved space by getting rid of the turn gates and lining the robot up at the start on the lift as the line was an even width

This has probably been my favorite video you've done that I've seen so far. I recently found your channel thanks to NeebsGaming! I love those guys and wish they did more Scrap lol! I like the Hide and Seek vids a lot as well, but this one truly shows how complex the vehicle builds can be. I look forward to binging your channel! lmao

Ohhhh Scrapman. You should learn how to make headless pistons! All you have to do is put some blocks down, put a piston on them, drag an area of more blocks into the piston, then delete the original and extra blocks. The piston will still have an attachment point, and the opposite side you can attach a bearing to.

I imagine You Will need to do the same things here in next challenges, I recomend detect the void over detects the yellow beacuse in that form you can avoid all of the problems you had to finish the track in the yellow part, also I don't know if using bearings in the stretches part can help you. You can do it scrapman, I hope in you.

Your vehicle looks so cool for the last challenge. and I was thinking you could have tried to build it with the wheels centered width wise with corner pipes towards the center of the vehicle and and straight pipes then have the connection points to the vehicle offset for the pistons and that would keep it 4 blocks wide then you could add as much length as needed, (with it still fitting In the garage that is) but your way worked phenomenally. Love your videos can't wait for the next.

8:20 - thinking differently from expected does not automatically make it wrong. Some of the biggest discoveries in science relied on this ;)

I honestly wanted to tell scrapman so badly he just needed to rotate the block that's connected to the piston so instead it rotates the piston downwards, it fixes the skinny and tall issue and allows him to still go low to the ground, just have the wheels rotate with the piston

If you guys noticed all the bearings I have a feeling that you could instead of extending pistons out for the sides have the bearings turn so the wheels are on the platform and everything is on the segments with the wheels

The going straight circuit was kinda reinventing the XNOR or equality function. So it would triggert if both are off or on. Maybe this helps when you have to build very thin vehicles.

i hope you can make a video and review about what you think about the dev bots for each levels (harder ones), it could influence your building later on (by giving ideas and building concepts) which can be helpful for you and viewers! Great video! Enjoyed it!

The easiest way to have a logic gate activate for neither or both is a nxor gate, and a regular xor gate only activates if a single one of the inputs is on, not both or neither.

For the thin wide course you need a if or gate If sensor is sensing black drive or sensing nothing

One better way to do the last level is that to start your vehicle with horizontally extended wheels that can clear low ceiling challenge and wide path challenge and when a sensor triggers purple, turn those horizontal extended wheels vertically which can clear narrow wall challenge and high ceiling challenge. You just have to offset your wheels to fit in 4 blocks.

0:38 scrapman please clog the door up by using the lift to try and place a block in side this can make some attempts and you have to place your lift and block in the golden lock spot or try placing blocks to block the door when it starts like supports on the sides and then use your lift and you can make infinite blocks by stealing some items in the sides and then reset after placing each item 1 with no stacks so no numbers and more better because you wont place them all on one spot like the fuel stuff in the room and tip dont restart just reset like resets everything but your chest and your build but resets the whole map even the fuel decorations stuff that you can get

I'm sorry but I could not help but giggle when the backend of your build swung down into the hole on the third challenge. I could see it coming and have to admit it was funny to watch. Not that I could do better, logic gates are beyond my understanding. Was fun to watch though!

Detecting that yellow was a bad decision there. You should have defaulted to a wide wheel base and detected the "thin section" color.

You could've made a vehicle that folds up so when it is not folded its wide and short and when its folded it is thin and tall.
