When taking a closer look at the GvM poster, it’s actually kind of hilarious to imagine two hulking beasts just standing there waiting to take a picture.

Favorite one yet. Honestly, I really wish that they continued the Heisei series, Jr the gentle giant taking the throne as King and protecting both humans and the planet, much like Gamera.

The Heisei series isn't my favorite era either, but I wholeheartedly agree the painted posters were something special! Vs. Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla II are probably my favorites.

I have a theory here. What if. The Destroyah in the GVD poster, is secretly Destroyahs real final form? For example. If Destroyah beat Godzilla, then he would've evolved further into the one in the poster. Look at the differences between the Destroyah from the poster, and then the actual film design. Either that, or this is an unused design.

I'm surprised that he didn't include the hand-painted version of Return of Godzilla poster. Though, I admit that his argument on the one he did chose, still fits with the painted version. The fact that the buildings are stylized with directions flying upward until eventually reaching Godzilla at the top, is meant to elevate Godzilla to Biblical proportions. Plus, for the first and only time in the Heisei posters until Destroyah, the colors are all hot colors - red and orange and yellow, reinforcing that Apocalyptic idea that he spoke of.

Between this and Omni's other vids, I've got a new found respect for Goji '84/85. Well done, Omni. Well done :)

I love the hand drawn Godzilla posters and I'm glad I'm not the only one who appreciates them as much as you do. Although you did miss the hand drawn poster for The Return of Godzilla ( www.tohokingdom.com/posters/return_of_godzilla_jp01.html ), but other than that, this video is really good and I really like that you pointed out so much detail on these posters. Like I never knew that Rodan was holding the egg in the Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 poster until I watched this video. Excellent job, dude. Also, I agree that the Godzilla vs Mothra poster is the worst of them all.

Personally, my favorite is the Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla one. How appropriate, as it's probably my favorite film in the series.

The Ghidorah different colored beams was done because the idea was to have each head shoot different colored beams, that didn't work out (as we have seen) but that's what they may have looked like

The original concept for Godzilla vs Mothra was to have one of Mothra's larvae get corrupted and become the villain gigamoth

Ghidorah firing beams of different colors was supposed to be in the movie. I'm not sure but I think there are some deleted scenes of it.

This was great video, as always. My favourite out of all these posters is SpaceGodzilla. It just looks freaking great. I also love how the poster for GvsMegaguirus has the whole Heisei look to it, as well. Also, I'm not sure if it's official or not, but for all my life I've seen this poster for The Return Of Godzilla that's very similarly drawn to all the other Heisei pieces that I'll leave a link to. The red and blue heat beams on Ghidorah are probably representative of the purple beam fired by Mecha King Ghidorah.

I think the Godzilla suits and other monsters were the best in my opinion although I do really like Godzilla 2000 and All Monsters Attack.

Mildly off topic but godzilla vs biollante is one of the most boring godzilla movies ever made by far. Also one of the most boring kaiju movies ever made by far. Not that i need action constantly like a transformers movie, id much prefer a deeper scarier film with themes and messages like the 54' godzilla but godzilla vs biollante is just so ungodly boring i have no idea how people consider it good, let alone watchable. I dont get bored from movies easily whatsoever, but biollante is just awful. The fights are also some of the worst of the entire series and genre. You can barely even call em fights.
