@@Kimch87Yo. I just saw the one episode in Arabasta Arc where's there's a gun-dog hybrid. And the owners insist it was the gun that ate a devil fruit to turn it into dog. Not the other way around. Like... what a ridiculous detail to add.. I still can't get over that dog it was so Looney Tunes

altho it's not like "things" can't eat a devil fruit in one piece as one sees in the manga later haha. theoretically in one piece a shirt could "eat" a devil fruit - altho it's not yet explained how that works, lol.

Your daughter is so perceptive about how fantasy stuff should work, she might have a great mind for fantasy/sci-fi writing! Or any other creative pursuit. 10:26 Like she said, logically the devil fruit shouldn't affect his clothes but it does. According to Oda, the author, the reason devil fruit affect the user's clothes is because it would be a very perverted manga otherwise. Basically the same reason the Hulk's shorts never tear. XD Though Oda does try to design his characters to not draw attention to it, hence why Luffy always wears shorts and shirts without sleeves.

En realidad, la pequeña, sin darse cuenta, descubrió a uno de los tipos de Fruta del Diablo, y es la que tiene BUGGY (no daré nombres para no hacerles mucho spoiler), la cual no afecta su cuerpo (como la de Luffy), pero sí el entorno cercano, por eso la ropa se puede dividir en varias partes también

Yep, it would cause a lot of unnecessary nudity that would really change the tone of the story. So as a contrivance, any power that affects the user's body also affects their clothes and please don't think about it too much.

0:37 His first name is Luffy but One Piece is from Japan, and the last name is usually written first. Hence Monkey D. Luffy. Hope this helps

Most East Asia countries have the family name first so Luffy is his first name and Monkey is his last name.

Can confirm, Garp is doing a Scottish accent. Source: I'm Scottish. The actor is actually Welsh, and his accent is a liiiittle exaggerated. You can tell he isn't actually Scottish when he's doing it. But it's better than most Scottish accents I've heard.

Agreed. Normally it annoys me when a show or a movie brings in a non Scottish actor to do our accent (and poorly at that), but in this case Vincent Regan has done a tremendous job at pulling off the accent.

@@MadLadHex He leans into it a little too much. He's a little TOO broad. But you can at least tell the accent he's going for. And it doesn't come off as a parody accent; he's just decided that the character has this accent and it feels like a heartfelt attempt to mimic it. He's not in Groundskeeper Willie territory, for example. And, frankly, if there HAS to be a non-Scottish actor playing character with a Scottish accent, I find a Welshman to be an acceptable stand-in. I'll take a Scottish accent from a Welshman or Irishman. Less so an actor from anywhere else.

in some version of comic lore, Superman's clothes aren't bulletproof but when he wears them he has an aura of invulnerability that protect them so that they don't get riddle with bullet holes as bullets bounce off his powerful body. similarly that's how i imagine Buggy's clothes don't rip or need to be re-sown when he reforms. Devil Fruit-extentionability.

Thing about Devil Fruits is that they also effect whatever the user wearing because acording to Oda (The man who made One Piece) if it didn't effect their clothes than a lot of DF users would be buck naked.

in japan, surname comes first, so "Monkey D." is his surname and "Luffy" is his name, same with the guy with green hair "Roronoa Zoro", Roronoa surname and Zoro is the name.

One Piece is normally for viewers age 13 and up because of language, violence, blood, use of drugs and alcohol, smoking and death. The same goes for the anime series. Your little girl got sharp eyes, high awareness and pretty mature for her age.

This is based on a Japanese comic/Manga and anime soo His name Monkey .D. Luffy is said in the japanese style where the surname is said first then the given name..in english it would be written as luffy .D. Monkey..

Luffy and buggys fruits are kinda opposites. Luffy can handle any blunt attacks but vulnerable against slashing attacks but buggy can get slashed all day long

His name is Monkey D. Luffy In Japan they switch the order of the first and last name so his first name is Luffy, and his last name, "family name" is Monkey D. The "D." is something special we don't fully know about yet

It is not that im not agree of kids watching the show but some scene might be a little too heavy to interpret by younger mind. Sure, overall the message of the show is good for the kids but some of the delivery is meant for mature audience for much dramatic take. I hope you’ll explain to her well sister. Especially on the latter eps with Sanji and Nami. Clever young kid might misinterpret some stuff due to overthinking.
