Non Starting 2018 Citroen Berlingo Sat for 6 Months After 2 Mechanics Gave Up On Diagnostics

1.6 Blue HDi Citroen Berlingo van same as Peugeot Partner.
vehicle lost power after a DPF fault. then wouldn't start after attempting to fix it by another mechanic.

Unbelievable mate a man came out and mapped the DPF out in a bid to get it started how these people are in business and making a living beats me.

Look on Facebook and you'll find tons of them who buy software and try make extra money after they finish work at Sainsbury's. Working out the boot of there Vauxhall Astra 🤠

@@ORileysAutosTwenty years ago there was a spate of plug and play guys doing the rounds in there white vans with the latest scan tools they didn’t last long they were trying to fix cars on fault codes alone without any knowledge or even a basic understanding looks like there back😫

The reason the other "mechanics" couldn't get it going was because they hadn't got the correct set of hammers with them.

Faults with missing components are a pain to find, I had a compressor yesterday where someone stripped out the control panel, removed a relay and then put it all back together again. Why??

Hi you couldn't tell me which fuse is the horn on a 19 plate berlingo please? The fuse box cover has no diagram.

good job . in ireland from the 1st january cars n vans will fail nct tset where any codes for emmisions are stored like egr dpf etc.. i think they had this rule in uk for last few years .. and cars that failed in uk were brought over here in large numbers like vws bmws etc which will probaly have to be scraped😂

Are they actually going to do a diagnostic scan to read codes or just if they see a light on?

@@ORileysAutos yes for emmisions related obd codes in ecu also air bag and abs codes . even if warning light comes on and goes out they will still check for faults in these units

Did you remap the dpf back in or did you leave it as it was

I'm a bit lost here. So if the dpf has be deleted from the software surely it will just now plug up over time because the vehicle can regen itself when needed

Yes it will block up over time unless it has had the internals removed

yes same hear starts fine when cold but very hard to start when hot. spent loads still not fixed. will make good video

My peugeot have same issue. ENGINE FAULT came to board and after a for a while STOP cames to board and car turn off. I reconnect Baterry plug and after a while car going for 30 minutes and after that the same problem. Cleaned out Diesel Tanks Replced diesel filter and almost did everything but no result. After cleaining all error it last two days and after the problem is persist. By the way checked BSi and no watet ingress detected. Mystery problem can make me crazy. Thank for comments.

Good afternoon to you.. I have a Citroën Berlingo diesel 2001 1900.. In the morning starts up perfect.. Then go for a drive. 5 miles.. Try and start it up.. Won't start.. And help with this problem would be appreciated
