Water at Canton has dropped to about 70. It’ll start dropping real quick with these colder nights. Where do you fish down there? We went to Tom Steed early spring for walleye and never got into them and haven’t been back.

@@BooneBoys I fish mostly Lawtonka and Ellsworth. Been getting into the Saugeye pretty decent on Lawtonka recently. Last weekend the water was around 80°.

@@michaelpotts3685 I’ve heard good things about both those lakes but I’ve never fished them.

Wow 2 hybrid. Man what a difference. Thumping for us seem to work better in 20+ft of water.

@@BooneBoys Our main lake channel ranges from 50 to 60' deep but most of the hybrids are in 15 to 25' of water. The lake I fish a lot is 42 miles long spanning across 14,200 acres. I am jealous a little when I watch others Hybrid videos with the quantities that get to keep lol.

It was yesterday. We were going to try Cobb today but got a short lived virus. Sooner or later we will find more of those walleye.

Holy smokes 175’! I typically don’t use a thumper in less than 20-30’ of water unless I’m on fish and they just aren’t hitting and just trying anything. Winter seems to work better for the thumper as well. It’s more important the depth and location than the bottom structure. I wouldn’t necessarily say they pile up next to a tree or rock. They move around so much I consider them almost like sharks roaming around. Drifting is a good fall and winter method because they spread out more than the summers. In my opinion.

We put salt and a product called Bait Keeper.

We just put a track mount on the boat last night. Not sure we will get out tomorrow. If we do, either Ft Cobb or Canton. I’d like to try out Cobb and see how it’s going. This is about when it gets really good there.

Yes it’s a special prop. You don’t want to use a normal prop, it doesn’t sound the same. Depending on depth of your boat hull I’m sure would determine if it would interfere with transducer. Mine is on opposite side of transducer, and it doesn’t affect sidescan. I’ll do a video over the splasher this weekend.

Can you send me a link to the prop you use? I can’t seem to find anything online.

Surface temp has been 73-75ish. Dropped about 8 degrees last 4 weeks.

Super Bait Tank II 50 gallon. It’s an old one. Not sure if they still make them the same way this one is or not or if they’ve made some improvements.

Check out Outdoor Oklahoma, the official state channel. They ask people to please keep more fish, especially the hybrids, sand bass, catfish & even large mouth bass believe it or not (but keep the medium size one, one to two pounds and let the large ones over 2-3 lbs go for largemouth bass). The lakes are stocked and checked and for years in many Oklahoma lakes the fish have been smaller because there are too many fish and a bit too much competition. And Wipers, hybrids, can't naturally breed, they are bred and stocked by the state & most live only 3 to 5 years... So if they're not caught and kept, they die and they cannot naturally reproduce so it does no good to leave them in the lakes... Boone boys are following the state guidelines and recommendations, and often they still do have many of their videos that they do only catch a release. :)

I hear you for some species, but in my opinion white bass need to be taken out more in Oklahoma. That’s why they went from 30 something whitebass to no limit. Also the hybrids have such short life spans, I view it as use it or lose it. I completely agree with some other species that aren’t stocked from hatcheries regularly or aren’t reproducing well. We are blessed in Oklahoma with solid hybrid and white bass numbers.

You are doing a great job of helping others. Jeep it up. And....I have found a new blackened fish recipe that is amazing and we could eat all the time. Fish is delicious 😉
