Finally the no-self experience clicked to me some weeks ago, and now I see people talking about this everywhere :-D (before I heard the words but meant nothing so the mind just tagged it as irrelevant). For me it was Angelo Dilullo and Liberation Unleashed website what did it, but fortunately nowadays a lot of real guides of this, like Sam and Loch, are available without having to go to Nepal. It looks like a kind of beyond-mindfulness revolution is actually happening and gaining exponential momentum in the underground and sooner or later is going to take the world by storm and change a lot of how humanity behaves and understands itself.

Thank you. I enjoyed this but it was mostly over my head and my experience. However I agreed and somewhat shared Sam’s experience with your guided mediation towards the end. That question “what is here when there is no problem to solve?” did something that I don’t know how to explain but was quite remarkable and felt sacred to me (for lack of better description.)

I had the experience you all describe of getting glimpses and thinking it was just a curious experience but not at all obvious that this was true awareness. Now that I’ve re experienced this many times and have had a lot more experience with teachers and reading I now recognize that this is it.

I'm part of that category 2 - a (somewhat) frustrated practitioner, 5 years running. There is a stark contrast between what it feels like to settle back into a choiceless, effortless awareness vs my usual neurotic self, and over time my glimpses have become increasingly more rewarding. Yet, these glimpses still do not have the character of subject/object dualism collapsing that is so often described by more seasoned practitioners as an important step toward awakening. There is a sense of a background stability that becomes more obvious with practice, it is a kind of stillness or quietness in which noisy data of existence moves about. To use Loch's terms, I would say I'm aware of it (certainly never noticed it before I started mindful glimpses) rather than aware as it, or from it. It is not apparent to me how to make that maneuver from of it to as it, and effortless non-action / non-intervention does not provoke the desired shift either. I've not yet figured out how to look back toward the subject- I can feel back into it where it seems it is, there's nothing much there, some feeling of empty space inside and behind my head, pressure where my face is. Sometimes it appears very detailed and dynamic, but not sure what the experience of that which is aware becomming aware of itself is like to know if I've had it. Oh well, onward and upward. "not two" could be one or three. What exactly do they mean by non dualist (not teo) minefulnes? I dont get this at all, help

Not two I assume means this sense we have that we are a subject behind our faces and everything else are objects constituting our experience is an illusion ultimately. There is just experience and the effortless knowing of it, no subject to whom experience is happening. I've also heard "not 2, not 1" ... and I can't reall get what is meant by not 1 if subject/object dualism collapses upon discovering the absence of the subject. That seems, at least conceptually, to be 1.
