My nomination is Blue Machine: How the ocean works, by Helen Czerski. A fascinating insight into how the shape and structure of our oceans affect the daily lives of every person, and creature, on our planet.

A Promised Land is really well written and interesting. I have Empire of The Summer Moon but haven’t read it yet. How To Be An Antiracist is fantastic. It’s in my top 10 nonfic for the year.

Those sound like great options! I’m curious about The First Tycoon. I read Anderson Cooper’s book about the Vanderbilts and it was interesting.

Martin Luther by Eric Metaxas. I have read Bonhoeffer by this author and thought it was well done.

The only I've read is The Fact of a Body. I wasn't into writing reviews when I read it, so I don't think I wrote one. When I unhauled some books, it stayed.

I read Bill Bryson's book about Shakespeare several years ago and really enjoyed it (despite the fact that I don't really care for Shakespeare's works in general). Bryson is also my favorite author, so I am biased 😅. I think the book about the child from Sierra Leone would be a really interesting choice as well!

He has actually written quite a number of non fiction too but those two are novels. When we read and have so many books, it is quite normal not to know about every book hehe. I had a similiar experience with an audiobook, I was so sure it was a short story collection but it turned out to be a favorite non fiction book.
