Well, that depends on how large a group, and what kind of experience you’re looking for. If you’re looking for an intense, long, and very thoughtful game for 8-16 ppl, I don’t think you can do better than blood on the clocktower. But, for just giggles, something like monomer/times up doesn’t require the same kind of intensity and is just fun. There are so many games. I’d recommend going to boardgamegeek and sorting by party games if you want even more suggestions.

Yeah we have a regular game group of 5 or 6 people and it's always a struggle trying to find a good game at that number

Not gonna lie, when I heard the Microsoft Windows error sound--on my PHONE--my heart leapt into my throat for a moment before my brain registered the gag. Well played, NPI. Well plate. Autocorrect changed the second, misspelled "played" into "plate" and I'm keeping it in for comedy reasons.

As much as I appreciate your longform essay vids, These sub 15min reviews are ideal for me as well as I can consume and appreciate them quickly. Everytime you guys release an essay, it takes me a long time to find the space in my schedule between work and kids to consume it. Looking forward a to mix of both types in the future. While the waterproof nature of the PVC cards is ridiculous like you're saying, you can't sleeve the card cards, and I do worry about their durability - my local board game cafe's copy of Bandido is GRIM. So I went for PVC - they shuffle nicer too.

Are these like the deluxe cards for Radlands, or something different? I really like the ones in Radlands.

@@arthurdent9281Yeah Radlands uses PVC cards as well. Although the Trailblazers cards are a tad thinner (which is good because small cards are hard to shuffle if they are too thick).

The mechanic of passing your hand to the player to your left reminds me of Between Two Cities .. if BTC was only about playing the last few rounds where every hand you get from the player to your right is constantly a poor fit for your city 😑

what a brave decision to get away from review copies, I always admired your integrity and personally I wouldn't call you biased if you'd keep receiving review copies instead, but I appreciate the extra effort you are making there!

I appreciate you saying that but bravery had nothing to do with it. It was simply convenient and somewhat necessary for us to do so. I don't think review copies have any actual sway, there are far more pressing issues for board game media to tackle.

Fantastic review. Watched a lot of your vids but never felt compelled to comment til now (!). As a big fan of sprawlopolis and non wasteful, environmental friendly games, this review and highlighting of all the versions etc was perfecto. Have a cracking Sunday evening!

You got the animal sidekick, and did acts of heroism, of course you’re a Disney Princess (TM)! I don’t think I would like a pipe game, but I like Sprawlopolis and Railroad Ink. The animals expansion does make the game look more appealing.

This game is literally Railroad Ink but with cards instead of dry erase markers.

Sort of? There's some overlap, but the spacial puzzle is much looser than RRI.

Lovely review ❤ Trailblazers seems an awful lot like Button Shy's "Sprawlopolis" family of games, with the overlapping of cards and scoring conditions based on shapes and connections? That game hurts my brain too much though, so I'm gonna stick with Calico (which I love btw, perfect amount of crunch)
