I was in the choir that debuted this song in front of Susan and her Husband. I have never heard it sang more beautifully.

A choir properly trained and completely disciplined in subsuming one's voice to the sound of the whole. Beauty beyond words. Best choir of its size I've heard. Voces 8 quality.

As a fellow choral conductor I have to say Allen Hightower is superb and his choir reflects his excellence. Truly inspiring. (Thank you youtube for making such sharing possible)

I sang this in HS as a senior. Wonderful song to come back to every now and then. Also, amazing and crisp consonant placements. Me choir director in my junior year made very clear to me how consonants (especially S’s (especially in the word “Christmas)) are supposed to be performed.

Grace Before Sleep How can our minds and bodies be Grateful enough that we have spent Here in this generous room, This evening of content? Each one of us has walked through storm And fled the wolves along the road; But here the hearth is wide and warm, And for this shelter and this light Accept, O Lord, our thanks to-night. Sara Teasdale (1884-1933)

I currently LOVE the fact that they are holding hands while singing this beautiful piece~! As a long time choir singer, being able to sync your minds and breathing with the rest of the choir can be the difference between a good choir and a great choir! love, Love, LOVE the togetherness of this choir! xD ~Yuuki

I was supposed to sing this song for my choir festival in washington dc, we ended up not singing it because something wasn’t clicking. The whole choir even our director agrees to this song being easy to learn. The thing that wasn’t clicking was the meaning of this song, we all just thought that there was no meaning to this song, our director said to find what this song means to you and find it in your heart. People tried but the rest of the choir didn’t care to. Also my director had personal problems with his personal life and it felt so right to sing this piece even more! This song is so beautiful and I love it, i hope i can sing it one more time.

Perfect example of how dynamics can make or break a song. This was amazing, but it wouldn't have been nearly as good without their discipline. Amazing

I mean, I can understand that it's hard to hold in coughs, but this video is ridiculous. To have SUCH beautiful music interrupted with that incessant loud coughing is so distracting to me

common courtesy demands that an interrupter of a performance discretely leave the hall in consideration of performers and listeners. Sadly today is a world of self.

Could this be the antidote to post-trumpian carnage? I truly hope so. Thank you, Sara and Susan.
