NordicTrack Commercial 2950 is one of our top picks for treadmills OVER $2500. Treadmillreviews.com gives it 5 stars for its impressive, high-end features. You get a lot of the same quality components on the 2950 that you would on many $4000+ treadmills but with a much more enticing price tag.
The Commercial 2950 is built very well on a steel frame that can support users up to 300 pounds. It’s highly rated motor and durable belt will withstand heavy, daily use for years.
You’ll see a lot of high-end treadmills that have 4.0 CHP motors. So the 2950’s motor (4.25 CHP) is an impressive feature. Ignore people who are telling you that CHP and HP motor ratings aren’t a big deal in the treadmill. They might tell you that the motor rating is mostly a marketing gimmick and that’s kind of true. But in general, a stronger motor is going to hold up better to heavy use. It’s really that simple. And 4.25 CHP is about as high as it gets for home treadmills.
The 2950 has a max speed of 12 mph. The incline ability of this treadmill is wider than most at -3% to 15%. You CAN get a steeper incline with a NordicTrack Incline Treadmill (-6% to 40%) but this is still a great option compared to other treadmills that are normally around 0-12% incline.
The running surface is what we would expect for this price point at 22” x 60”. This is large enough to accommodate tall runners with long strides. The 2950 is also a folding treadmill with a hydraulic arm that makes raising and lowering the deck very easy. Once folded, the deck locks into place and is very secure.

You also get 12 months of iFit coach premium with your purchase of the 2950 so you’ll have full access to iFit Coach workouts and apps. iFit Coach will store your past workouts and compile data to show easy-to-read progress reports so you know exactly where your fitness is at. iFit coach memberships start at $15 per month and increase depending on the number of user profiles you wish to have. The family plan is $33 per month and allows for up to 5 user profiles.
