Norfolk Broads Experience - September 2023 - Day 3

We wake up to some beautiful weather in Beccles and start the day with a relaxing cruise down The River Waveney and then passing onto Oulton Dyke which leads to our mooring for the evening at Oulton Broad. After mooring up we head into Lowestoft to have a look around, before ending our day chilling out on the fly-deck enjoying a beautiful sunset.

Hi Keith, thanks again for your comment. We love the Southern Broads, it's often a much overlooked part of The Broads in general. Some lovely locations to visit and so peaceful. It sounds like you used to visit The Broads? Did you ever hire a boat?

@@twomenandaboat8681 we had many trips on the broads we used to have two holidays a year on boats ,one early and the other late in the year the broads are so different depending when you are on them. It’s good to have people sharing their trips now, keep it up. Thanks

I was going to record the bird sounds on this video as I live on the top floor of a 22 storey building. Unfortunately a motorbike went past on your video then I realised......that's not going to work.

This particular episode brought back so many memories of my 15 years living in Oulton Broad. I actually caught a glimpse of my cottage where I lived.. At approx 32.50 you went down the steps on returning to Oulton Broad South Railway Station into Marsh rd. Before the filming cut I could see my cottage, the small detached cottage at the end of Marsh rd just as you join onti the main road by the railway bridge. I thank you both for that. Wonderful enjoyable film all through. Look forward to the next.film. My best wishes to you both.

It's great to know that you pointed out your cottage as we've since gone back to look at the footage ourselves, it must have been a great little place to live. We are not surprised that you miss it. Yes it was a lovely time I spent in Oulton Broad. Thoroughly enjoy both of your laid back presentations. Going slightly off the subject, are Brinkcraft still in operation. The very first holiday I remember was on a boat called Brinks Ricarda and later Golden Emblem. Probably long gone.
