So good to see Robert out having fun! One of my favorite scenes in a movie is from his performance in Cold Blood.. his character lamenting the bad deeds, rain falling on a window, the shadows falling on his face being like ghost tears, the streams of water on the window shadowing the trails of ghost tears the character can’t quite make in reality. Awesome scene, a masterpiece of lighting, the director of photography, and actor, in perfect balance of penultimate perfection.

In his documentary called "All heart & no pants", he admits to stealing everything from knick-knacks to sofas from MGM sets while being under contract. And yes, he used the word "steal", not "inadvertantly taking without noticing". I suspect he did the same with the L5 and either Norm asked him to clean the story up or Robert was too embarrassed to call it what it was.

Love Robert Blake. He's had some tough times but he seems to have his hat on straight and he also seems really clear headed; especially when you consider all the blow and alcohol and stuff he has run thru his body. I am of course writing this some 4 years after this post so I hope he's still as good as he is here. I think I'll turn one up for "Ol Mickey"! "And that's the name of that tune"

Thank you for bringing back the memories! In cold blood excellent film directed and acted out brilliantly. Tell them Willie boy is here, another wonderful picture I’m surprised that him and Robert Redford didn’t act together again, we all know the Newman /Redford films, I can easily see Robert Blake playing off Redford in both those films. From our gang to red Ryder and everything in between, Mr. Blake you’re one hell of an actor! And you weren’t afraid to tell Louis B Mayer you couldn’t be bought, in a business that is filled with bought and paid for people.

Speaking of Robert Blake and movie star memorabilia, several years ago, I bought a French 1955 reproduction movie poster of The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (came out in 1948) on eBay. When I got the poster, I noticed a signature on it. It looked like "Robert Blake" and then I looked it up and, sure enough, Robert Blake was a child actor in that film. I'm guessing the person who sold the poster may not have noticed the signature. I'm sure it adds value to the poster. I hope I never sell it.

If he was 82 at the time of this post and he said he was 19 when he left Alaska, then do the math: he's now~86 in 2020. He was born in 1944. 1944 + 19 would be 1963. The guitar is most probably an early 1960- 1962 year model.
