I love how Norm plays the "simpleton" sometimes, when really he's brilliant. Like when he asked the guy talking about non-violent protests, "what if they're going to cut your head off? Is there a time to use force back?" And the guy being interviewed is dumb enough to say "actually that could help you out" Like, no dude, you'll be dead. In summation, non-violent protests only work when you're NOT actually oppressed; i.e. the ones in power aren't that bad. If they were really that bad, they'd kill you and be done with it.

Norm was very funny, even when he wasn’t necessarily trying to be. And even when a particular joke, on its own merit wasn’t particularly funny, he was still funny, or at least could make you smile. You can’t help but sense that he was genuine, strangely, even when telling made up stories. And on the rare occasions when he was being serious, he still, maybe even more so, was intriguing and captivating. There’s something so incredibly endearing about him it’s hard to process or put in to words. Enigmatic and charismatic, truly one of a kind.

@@Juggernaut365 Nobody said it did? I'm just confused about his comment because he said that SNL went down the shitter because of Downey. Downey's been working on the show since 76, which implies that SNL only had 1 good season, which is a valid opinion, though not one I'd agree with. I'd also be curious to know why he'd care about a show that only had one good season, and 45 (soon to be 46) bad ones going down the shitter.

@@theseanlegacy1795 I was actually backing you up, I think this guy assumes that since Jim is a comedy writer that he is supposed to be a hilarious comedian when he’s being interviewed. I think there’s a big difference between someone that can write jokes and someone that performs them and thinks on the fly.

@@theseanlegacy1795 Carlin was the first host of SNL in ‘75 and the entire show throughout its history was based on his schtick.

Norm rarely if ever brings up Kristen Wigg, but he mentioned one bit.
