A snippet of what my job as a breakfast chef is like. My commercial cookery training is put to good use and I am loving it.
Many people would think that being a chef in a breakfast cafe is easier. But ask any chef and they will tell you otherwise. The sauces you'll see in the video are all made fresh everyday. The video was recoded on a Monday where it's usually not busy. We have time to prepare for everything and of course have time to play with my camera. Weekend is a totally different scenario. IT IS CRAZY BUSY like i don't even have time to wipe the sweat off of my face busy. The preps you'll see in the video are only done weekdays to prepare for weekend. Breakfast and lunches are a big thing here in Melbourne, not to mention coffee.
I hope ya'll enjoy the video!
xoxo

Extremely underrated video! Know how it feels working in my parent's cafe in the kitchen - especially when it gets crazy busy. Keep it up!

I went from fine dining to try out being a breakfast chef for 6 months and learned that it wasn't for me. Loved the fact that I was home by 4pm everyday but having to be up before the sun's up wasn't for me. Learned real fast that I wasn't built for early mornings.

Hi AC, thanks for your video, I was planning to study in AU next year once the border will open. Is it difficult to find a job as a chef? If you don't have experienced yet and you just recently graduated to your cert 3 in cookery? Are there any companies that will likely hire you despite having less experience? The only experience I do have is my 4 years kitchen crew in a fast-food chain and being an assistant manager for 3 years in a restaurant but never worked as a chef yet. I will appreciate your input Thank you :)

Hi! It is hard to get a chef job if you don't have experience. Chefs usually start from kitchen hand and progress from there. Just like me. Sad to say our experience from the Philippines does not really count that much. Establishments usually prefer experience in Australia. But if you're confident with cooking, they will see that during a trial. :)

Hi...if i do a chef course in Australia...(but i have no experience in my country) is it going to be hard to find a job as a cook or chef??...is it not a good choice to get pr??
@acdyrit
@acdyrit 2 жыл бұрын
I did not have any kitchen experience at all when I applied but I expressed my passion for cooking. Giving the immigration any hint about the intention to get a PR will definitely negatively impact your application.
