0:56 I personally knew the creator of this game. Rob and I were in the same Boardgame Group down in the Tampa Area. I was actually one of the Beta Testers of the game. He was in the middle of creating another game with a Western Theme when unfortunately he passed. 😢 Great man, great friend. RIP, Buddy. Miss you.

FYI: Burke was the name of Paul Riser's character in Aliens. He was the corporate stooge who wanted to infect Ripley and Newt so he could smuggle an alien back to Earth. (Also, I believe hearing that they filmed Aliens in the UK, so if Burke has a British slang term then it's very possible that's why they named him that.)

Burke sounds like "berk" which is short for "Berkshire hunt" which is rhyming slang for a word I'm not going to use here. Or so I've been told.

What a great game. The dice really act as the great equalizer. Don't see a lot of random chance in a lot of social deduction style games outside the opening. I like it.

I'm not sure if you've sat around other board gamers but I assure you this is how some tables are. One person says something funny, someone else keeps saying it louder. It's a part of life.

Surely, "Burke's Gambit" is a reference to Aliens? In Aliens, Carter Burke is the one working for "The Company" trying to get a parasitic alien sample back to Earth.

This was so much fun Especially playing along by not knowing who were the corpos cuz I closed my eyes during the initial reveals The final result of the second game made me jump out of my seat. It felt like a movie ending where the evil corpos did everything including suicide to spread the infection but by sheer luck the good guys saved the world from being infected

I forgot to say it on the actual videos, so I’ll say it here. Honey Heist was possibly the best rpg I’ve seen on KZfaq, there wasn’t a minute that passed without me giggling into my hand, desperately trying not to wake the dead. Watch it if you haven’t, rewatch it if you have. I know I will.

@@TheLastSane1not really "sold out", scalpers got to them on release and so everything is "for sale" online for 2-3 times the price of msrp. As a card game player, it has been near impossible to find product thanks to scalpers along with low supplies in general.

Fun session! Just a heads-up to anyone watching...you aren't forced to resolve the second die throw. The game designer Rob Yates himself clarified this at the BGG forum back in 2017. So these guys play that part wrong, only the engine power-up roll HAS to be played, otherwise you can always return the die to the bag without effect if you wish...
