Super saiyan rosè Goku black what? if you mean Atreus isn't Loki then look at the prophecy, when you see the pic where Atreus is cradling Kratos while he's dying, you can see a snake like thing coming out of his mouth, I believe that is the world serpent, then again he could be calling the serpent for help, but the world serpent speaks a dead tongue so I believe that he's giving birth to the world serpent

@@manuel1654088 even if abrahamic religions predate norse religion, they were not in contact until after the christianization of europe. A lot of norse myth has been changed as christians see fit, so that pagans became christians.

"Let Hel keep what she has" In other versions, the teller was not sure if it was Loki or not. I like this idea of 2 different paths. on one hand, if It was Loki, Servant: "Dude, you sure about that?" L: "They think they're so high and mighty, all they have to do is say 'do you know who we are' and poof! They get what they want. Well it's about time they see they can't always get their way." Servant: "......You know they're gonna kick the crap outta you, right?" Loki: "Oh, they've forgiven me for worse........ (Several hours later) ......I WAS WRONG!!!!!" Or it could have just been the Giantess hated Loki and knew he would get punished.

Loki story is one of revenge, and injustice. We like to think the Asgard gods a good, but they were just seeking power, and how to keep it. They cared not for whom they hurt, or killed. Loki story is just one of those didn't take abuse well.

Comparing it to God of War, there are quite a lot of differences. After all, a being that eradicates every greek god there is, would stir up quite a lot of trouble in the universe, even far before they even exist.

Loki IS a Trickster, but not merely a mischieveous child. According to the Eddas, Loki causes much of his damage by encouraging the God's to use his wiles to cheat. We'll never know what the myths were before Christians interpreted them for missionary purposes. I find it curious that HERMOD goes to underworld to retrieve Balder, because Hermes is the psychopompos who retrieves Persephone from the Greek underworld.

Angela Richter He is also Æsir as well as being Jotun. There are some obscure sources linking him to some relation to Odin, but not in the way Marvel ran with it

Loki, a betrayer? According to this video he seemed monstrously justified in everything he did. You cannot betray a person if they have done nothing but inflict pain and suffering them throughout their entire life. I'm glad a lot of this stuff gets referenced and laid out pretty plainly by Mimir in God of War, and it really shows that the writers weren't just pulling things out of their ass, but actually did very thorough research.

Loki killing baldur, shave sif hair, stole some cursed gold and gave it someone, also pushing the button of gods. loki lead a hard life but doesn't change all the shitty things he did. also the god of war loki is different because of his father is kratos not Farbauti.

@@lkcdarzadix6216 Kratos is also called Farbauti by the giants. Farbauti actually means 'dangerous striker'. Atreus' mother is called Faye which is actually Laufey.

I completely agree with you since the beginning of the mythology as we know it Loki was labeled the problem child and all responsibility always was placed on him. He was put into the role so he adapted to it. The Aesir never treated him fairly since he was part Jotun and the Aesir are canonically racist showing how they treated the Vanir. To the fact that they were concerned for their youth with Idunn's fruit and seemingly less for Idunn's health and wellbeing because she is Vanir and not Aesir

Ian M Mythology isn’t as cut and dry as, “Blank god is the Norse equivalent of blank god”. It is a complex interwoven muddy subject. One god or myth can resemble and be influenced by several in a different culture, even within the same pantheon

He was his blood brother, which means that Loki and Odin cut a vein on their arm and smeared their blood together, swearing an oath of trust and faithfulness. They weren’t related at all, Odin is an aesir and Loki is a frost giant.

IDK I feel like Loki can be partially justified in some of his actions. I don't think he is evil maybe an a5s but not evil (at lest to me). I think some of what he did can be looked that from the perspective of revenge(for at lest his children). An I'll say idk how the other gods may have treated him but perhaps it may have been bad idk. (I may have a biased but just maybe idk . I just don't believe that there is no reason better then he is a trickster idk ) 😕

Wait a minute. Something just occured to me. Perhaps it was Loki who made Pontius Pilot reluctantly kill Jesus. I'm mean Jesus must be Balder...? Loki is Saturn?? This Ragnarok larky seems to have lots in common with the Book of Revelation... Odin is Mercury (chief God of many North Europeans). Thor is Jupiter. Freya is Venus/Aphrodite.

I agree, DaneStolthed. It f it weren't for later Christian scribes, the sagas and Norse myths would never be written down. Also, Odin has more in common with Jupiter and Thor is more like Vulcan, because although he's represented as a warrior god in the Marvel comics, he's actually the god of smiths and craftsmen!

If it weren't for later Christians, none of these tales would be written down. I have often remarked that n the case of the Norse, history really was written by the victors mainly because they were the people who wrote things down!

The oldest known manuscript was not wriiten by christians but was preserved by monks, they had the integrity to leave it be as was found. Christian scribes made it a point to bastardize pagan lore.
