I used to get headaches getting up early, putting up decoys and shooting. I thought it to be the smell of gunpowder, but it was from sipping off a bottle of Peppermint Schnaps trying to stay warm waiting for sunrise enough to see. I quit drinking and no more headaches. It improved my shooting also.

A lot of ticks in ND so be careful. One time I went into the cattails and came out with 20+ ticks all over me

Live a few miles from Pigeon. Lots of birds are banded in the quarry there.
