I grew up fishing for zander and have to say they are more fun just from their size perspective. Walleye though is a much better table fare. I would love to see if stocking them in great lakes would be possible. It would create world class fishery.

Hell of a hunt! I know it’s 4 years ago but holy cowwww that permission call was painful lol. “Hey is this ___? Great! My name is ___ and I was curious if you would be willing to allow my friends and I to hunt your property for ducks/geese/etc in the morning?” Also a sure fire way to get your name out there is have each guy in your group contribute 10 bucks into a gas station gift card. Land owners really appreciate it, at least in my experience. Keep at it!
