NORTH KOREA: Persecution & Perseverance Part I

Australian John Short was detained in North Korea. He was repeatedly interrogated. He was forced to write a “confession” of his “crimes,” including the offense of wanting more North Koreans to follow Jesus.
But if God asked him today, Short would happily go back to the "Hermit Kingdom." Short shares with VOM Radio how God strengthened him during his captivity, Scriptures and earthly examples of persecuted Christians that most encouraged him, and how he managed to take a measure of control back from his captors - and even make them nervous.
Mr. Short agreed to only two media interviews after his release; one with his hometown newspaper back in Australia, and the other with The Voice of the Martyrs Radio.

Why do governments hate Jesus Christ? Because they know His power is greater than theirs and they don't want the warning of His Word to ring in their wicked ears.

It is so sad what has happened to Hong Kong and this is the result of America and the other formerly Christian western countries who sit back and do nothing just as America did back in the 80's after Teinamin Square massacre when we did not support the students who stood up against tyranny! I love China, South and North Korea's people with a burning passion that our Lord has put in my heart. Be asure of God's love for His children. He knows their suffering for His Kingdom. That is why He put prayers on our hearts for them. We stand firm with them in all their challenges. May they be comforted with God's blessings and favours. And our prayers be with them. You people keep doing what you’re doing I know I pray for these countries that are persecuted I’m very mindful of it Sudan as long as I can remember this country these people have been tortured In other places too but we did not have these phones so a lot of it we didn’t know I started praying for China years and years ago because of what I learned from the history channel And movies and different things that I learned I know that Billy Graham‘s father-in-law did missions in China that’s what I remember I pray for all these nations and countries that have never been able to freely love our savior I pray with my whole heart that they become victorious in a real powerful way and I believe that really they will And they do not take anything for granted nothing for granted that’s an important thing to always know

Rejoice, exceedingly glad.for the great reward given you in heaven. Acts 5:29 I will obey God rather than men. Romans 8:31 If God is with us who can against us. Psalm 140:4 keep me oh Lord from the hand of the wicked, protect me from violent men.

The truth is that we don't like to be persecuted, tortured, and mocked at but yet the truth is that Jesus Christ himself say that we're actually going to be persecuted, tortured, and killed. Jesus Christ himself never mentioned that it's actually going to be easy to follow him. But dispised being persecuted many non believers will actually start believing in Christ. Look at the Roman jailor who became a Christian person due to Paul and Silas.

Yeah to the question they would know I talk about Jesus never shut up not for over 40 years but in America absolutely not especially in the last 10 years in fact for the very first time someone told me to my face they didn’t want to talk about Jesus,,,, The woman so drunk so terribly drunk no sense of even saying another word,,, I remember they used to say when I was younger you can’t talk about politics and religion I would often say how are you going to learn if you can talk about it Yeah but there was still a normal Ness talking about God and if there wasn’t I didn’t pay attention Politics came along way way later I had a lady that was over 90 all we ever did was talk about the Lord Jesus In her presence with another woman and they started talking politics but I didn’t know any of that was in their old woman I don’t know anything about politics That changed I choose not to speak about politics because it’s not gonna change no matter what you believe both sides are wicked I mean really wicked
