North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has watched an extreme martial arts demonstration by soldiers at a military event marking the 76th founding anniversary of its ruling party.

In the video aired by the North's state-run television station, KRT, soldiers performed multiple shows of strength: smashing items, breaking free from chains, lying on glass and throwing knives. Kim smiled and clapped as he watched the show at the Defence Development Exhibition 'Self-Defence-2021'. During the exhibition, Kim said his country's weapons development is necessary in the face of the US' hostile policies and a military buildup in South Korea.

Kim's usual parade consists of elite soldiers, the ones that were taken care with upmost priority. Which means enough food and practice to become a super-like soldier. However when compared to the rest of NK's impoverished army, these stuntmens are too few in number.

As a martial artist I can say I would not want to be in close combat with these guys. These are some really well (full body) conditioned soldiers.

They know they'll be killed though because its a dictatorship. He does stuff like beat the soles of the football teams feet for loosing. They were probably all lined up in the hospital later on when the adrenaline wore off

Unfortunately u don't know during middle ans ancient times this type of training was considered easy in Asia especially India, China and since martial arts originated from India then it came to China then korea then japan our soldiers were the toughest there is that's why West never able to conquer Asia until the invention of Guns bombs and other stuffs.

That could be possible with the literal cement and hammers they use. Although there is Kyokushin karate, where they focus on teaching how to take in hits, kicks, punches, etc. without protective gear (injuries are frequent) and give the same type of power back. I don't know the specifics of their training if they would ever use cement but if those types of martial arts exist then I guess the one in the vid would exist too. Really concerning but I can't say much with my knowledge.

My cousin did martial arts when he was a kid and teenager. I showed him this video and he said “you gotta remember that they always say that pain is temporary” so that’s why they aren’t nearly as affected as much. They get used to it
