The Moranbong Band, also known as Moran Hill Orchestra, is an all-female music group in North Korea whose members were selected by the country's supreme leader Kim Jong-un. Performing interpretive styles of pop, rock, and fusion, they are the first all-female band from the DPRK, and made their world debut on July 6, 2012. Their varied musical style has been described as symphonic because it is "putting together different kinds of sounds, and ending in a harmonious, pleasing result.

Sure they are all very well trained. But if i was in this band i'd rather play an instrument, preferably the keyboards which sound more musically gratifying. It would not be like Emerson Lake & Palmer, but at least a keyboard player does not have to sing the dreadful state propaganda rubbish.

@@indelibleink5577 Absolutely nobody knows much about North Korea, and when we're lucky to get defectors from there able to tell us, they speak of the horrors there and not even being allowed to have an opinion against him. His people are starving and the only people he lets eat are his army and those he sponsors in propaganda material like this band. The only people that can rise up against him are being fed so of course you're not going to get rid of him anytime soon.
