Everyone who argues that we should send troops or what not in needs to take a look at history and understand the dangers of making contact with an isolated group. Something as simple as a virus, or a simple bacteria is enough to kill the whole population of the islands. These people have never been or have hardly been in contact with diseases that are common throughout the world. Thus, a person with the flu who sneezes on the island could put the whole population at risk. For this and other reason, simply sending in armies or researchers is a very dangerous task.

It is estimated that these people have had their culture for 60,000 years or more and if we leave them alone, they might well last longer than our own culture (assuming we don't destroy their environment in some way, intentional or not). It would be difficult to study them without them knowing it, even with "mosquito drones" or anything else. These people may be low-tech but probably smarter than we are when it comes to recognizing any changes in their environment. I just hope no one ever suspects oil or gold on the island, we all know how THAT would turn out!

Why and how the fuck do we/they always invent the bow? With no influence from the land outside of their own, information like this can't really spread. Notmatt they should be left alone. Regardless of what we people think. If they wanted to join us, they should have long time ago. They are self sufficient and don't need our assistance. Nottman and Divyas Gopal jee, If we leave them to lead their own life, it would no effect on their life style which they live for the last 60,000 years. But we must not leave them seperated from modern civilization. Their main aim to survive and that too from huntind daily. If anyone think to leave them alone then Govt should do such things which may make their life easier. As for example Govt or NGO should seng thousands of Cock, birds, animals for their food, sprinkling seeds of fruits in the forest which are suitable to germinate in the enviorment, clothe, plastic sheet and doing such things so that they get abundant food because their only aim to survive. But persons who believe like me that they should not be left to lead their original life style then Govt should do to catch them and provide food and facilities at their own place (ie, Santenel) . India can send satelite to Marse whether they cannot catch them is the question. They should not be left for ours living museum.

I'd doubt they're all that tough, very little exposure to the world leaves that at a huge disadvantage, illnesses that regular people would simply shrug off would probably be fatal to these people, due to a lack of a developed immune system.

I'm curious as to why we have no place invading it. They've killed a number of innocent people, 'our' people. Are they above our laws just because they're dumber and less evolved than us? If they wouldn't have to follow our laws then they wouldn't be considered humans but animals, ain't that right?
@Weshax9 жыл бұрын
Maarten I agree
@carsalcyril9 жыл бұрын
Maarten "Our" laws exist in "our" societies. If anyone of them decides to visit us I guess that we both agree that he has to follow them. But that is their land, that is their society. They never invited "us".
@wolf18669 жыл бұрын
Maarten We have no place invading it because they have established their own customs, laws, ect over the 60,000 years they have been there. The laws all around the world are different, are you saying that everyone else in the world that doesn't follow your governments rules and regulations are animals? If strangers on strange machines came up to your island home would you not want to defend it as well? Think before you make stupid ass statements. They are protecting their land and themselves in their eyes, just as you would.
@edmondktm9 жыл бұрын
michael shama I don't agree, if someone you don't know comes to you, you don't throw him rocks or arrows because you've never seen him before. That is where communication comes in action, we are not animals we can talk or in this case try and understand each other. Even if they have been on their island for 60 000 years doesn't mean that they have any excuse for attacking us! If we leave them alone and we don't figure why they attacked us, does it mean that we consider them like animals?

@aloof57465 жыл бұрын
I’m guessing it rains and you can start a fire for the water to kill the bacteria in it then it will be drinkable
@jayprivacy19005 жыл бұрын
Well they don't look like they need much water. No real body mass. Something is working for them. Where are they getting the metal for the arrows? Sea trash? Are they mining?
@aloof57465 жыл бұрын
One of the guys said they deliver items to the island like coconuts and other items and when it’s rains lighting can easily strike a tree to start a fire those people not as dumb as they look they know how to communicate look at their body language they also use arrows to kill

I have been to Andaman islands..those islands are blessed with so much of natural beauty that I thought I was transported back into the time. I went to Havelock island which is opened to tourists. Havelock island is surrounded by sea but on the island there were freshwater sources, so I am guessing the same for North sentinal. Also it has tropical climate so it rains fairly often.
