those waves look about as difficult to paddle into at that size as it gets. Amazing being able to wipe out on those and not get broken or give up. Youth + world class talent + resilience

Nice to see these guys having fun. When we were younger hot surf dogs we surfed all kinds of crazy places.. backwash, behind boats, closeouts, wind chop hell, in-between rocks in the lineup... these were some of the best days in retrospect. Aloha

Back in the early 2000's it was basically only bodyboarders out at Gums. On rare occasion a surfer would paddle over to Gums and take one on the head. This was back when John John and Nate were little kids with big blond afros playing out in front of Rocky Rights. Now, 20 years later, its so awesome to see surfers finally being comfortable pulling into closeout shorebreak

Grew up in Boca/Delray. Couldn't take the gutless washing machine so I've been living in the dream the past 8 years in Lima, Punta Hermosa, Peru. World class region. Because its cold. Only surf with the locals.
