I’ve been out of windsurfing since I left Maui in 1996. Did North stop making windsurf sails for a while?

@@joeblow1942 Since 2002 (not sure about that year) North doesn‘t produce sails anymore. “Boards and more” took production over but they still sold those sails under the name “North Sails” and in I guess 2019 they broke up with North and founded “Duotone”.

I believe the brand you used to love under the North logo is now called Duotone. I was also a North guy when I was windsurfing, now I wingfoil and I'm a Duotone guy... ;-)

I believe the people who made the awesome old Zeta are now putting out products under the Duotone brand. They just happened to have licensing deal with North. If you love the old windsurfing North Sails, as I did, it is not these people, it's the Duotone people.

Hi Marko, the Wave sail is out now. Our website shows the sail launch plan and the full timeline. The X-over coming in June, and Race / Foil end 2022.

3x stronger, up to 40% lighter, and 4x longer lasting than any other sail produced. This means riders can push harder, higher and faster than before. Best of both worlds!

@@nikolaanastasov5013 This is available on our FAQ, hope this helps - "These sails are extremely durable, as there are no films, no seams, and only Dyneema Aramid Tapes and Adhesive. In the first instance, we would be very surprised if you damage your 3Di sails, at least in the sail’s body, even if you break a mast or are dragged across the reef or rocks. However, if you do damage the 3Di sail body, small holes can be fixed temporarily with a strong adhesive duct tape, so at least you can keep on sailing while it is windy. Keep some in your gear bag. Beyond that, a repair kit will be available, and you should contact your local dealer to get one. If you damage the window, this can be replaced very easily by your local sail repairer, and as per any other sail. Because of the many different layers and directions of fiber tapes in a 3Di sail, the sail holds stitching exceptionally well. "

I’m risking to be banned for ever by all windsurfing chat but... I have a a question: what about if you reduce to 2.7 x stronger, 30% lighter and 3.7 longer lasting but you give some nice old style colours to that sail that looks amazing alright but... you know... why so dark? Sorry I had to say it😊😂🤭! Is it only me loving to see nice colours on our sails🌺🤙
