The work got even harder on the next session but it's starting to look good now. We are having the weekend off next but we will be back to carry on.

Bill Hall I'd like to know how to get involved if possible. I live in Burnley so it may not be feasible to be a regular helper, but it may be something I could look at when the summer months come round, (see the pigs flying). I spent two weeks just lazily cruising up the Lancaster canal in the early eighties as a teenager with two school friends, one who's parents owned "Carabobo" at the time and we stopped just south of Tewitfield for a couple of days and there was nothing there. Really quiet. My sister & her partner have two narrow boats moored at Garstang and although she likes the undisturbed wildlife up there, it may be something they might consider helping with. I did volunteer for CRT for a while in Burnley, but it got a little tedious litter picking all the time! I like to get my hands dirty, but not with dog mess, nappies & needles!
