During WWII, in 1943-44, my Dad was transferred from the Phoenix Indian School to the now-defunct White Rocks Indian Boarding School near Ft. Duchesne , to take the place of an Indian Service employee who was going into the service.. I was somewhere around two at the time. My parents and I went to a bear dance. I barely remember this dance. It seems,though, that we watched from under the top of a grandstand. Interesting memory for me.
