I agree with NL that I don't give a shit about hearing about other people's dreams, but he is just wrong on therapists not caring. Psychotherapists put too much emphasis and meaning on dreams but they can be valuable to discuss, especially if it had a big impact on the dreamer, which can happen. Most therapists will not ask you for your dreams, but they will 100% not shut you down or tell you that they don't matter, if you think something that happened to you mattered, they will take it seriously. Now do they go "oh, seeing butterflies in your dream means that you crave freedom"? Absolutely not, that shit is worthless. However if you're like "last few weeks I've been dreaming a lot about getting abandoned by people around me and I wake up very sad", that's valuable to talk about.

Example: my mother mentioned she was buying a george foreman, which I was excited about because we hadn't had one for a couple years. 2 nights later, I had a dream that involved it. When it arrived the following day, and I had a brief conversation about it with my mother, I mentioned my dream. the thing abt the service dog is that it’s not abt whether it’s a friendly dog or it might bite it’s that service dogs are working,, but they’re still dogs and can get distracted by ppl making eye contact and approaching them and those distractions can prevent the dog from doing its job which might be just hanging out or it might be like catching their seizure-having owner when they faint randomly or warning their owner before they have a seizure or some shit the dog owner was right to be passive aggressive at the parent bc it’s not like the kid did anything mean but interrupting a working service dog can be life-threatening for the dog’s owner and ppl don’t know this but they should and so that parent needs to be helping their kid learn this early
