Make sure to cut one or both ends of your deck. The middle of your deck has the most straight potential so I always try to cut Aces, 2's, Kings, etc. Makes it a lot more reliable.

You're passing up a lot of Star cards... generally, I've found that Straight builds convert long term to Straight Flush builds... so I usually try converting the deck to two suits. If I split Red/Black, it's easy enough to use that blurry Joker that makes colors count the same; otherwise I avoid it. A one suit deck will lose to that suit's debuff boss blind; but a two suit deck plays really strong with it. Four Fingers or Shortcut after that and you're golden!
