No better feeling than a full wood shed. Finished mine a couple of months ago and broke open a bottle of wine , sat in my chair and sighted in the deer rifle. Life is what you make of it. Good hunting this season.

Watching you cut wood last year in the Minnesota cold and snow had me thinking. No way I’d do that. That full wood shed is going to be a blessing. Hauling wood with a hernia, and a couple bad discs. I don’t know Joe- take it as easy as you can.

Same story here as some of the others - got the wood all stacked and it was so beautiful I can't imagine actually using it. I find splitting and stacking to be strangely therapeutic but then I'm not a guy looking at a double hernia operation. Be careful, Joe, and stay safe. And happy hunting!

The stacked woodshed is a beautiful site to see. I can't imagine that is only half the wood you need for your woodboiler season. It is good you have nothing else to work on at your place making your time truly free to do this work. Interesting. Tons of work. With my tractors, I work with a lot of trees and wood on my place. After 20+ years, I have started to question my own habits. Now when I load my bucket, or do other work off the tractor seat, I ask myself, "If I leave the tractor running while I work, what benefit is there?" Normal answer is: no value - while fuel is burned and hours are added to the engine.
@NorthernSeclusion
@NorthernSeclusion 9 ай бұрын
You do you and I will do me. It keeps the hydraulics warm and working faster and less stress on them. It is an old tractor. If yours is old, you are saving yourself money on fuel but putting more stress on the hydraulic system and starting system. To me that equals - lots of value.
