Alright, but remember they didn't even have a permit. It's not about being a landmark at that point, it's still an illegal demolition, and it was already known to be in the process of becoming one anyways, adding to the issue.

@@Vulpovile here's the thing. I don't think a 100 year old building is really historic. We have tons of century old homes, towers, mansions, restaurants, ect in ohio. The guy bought the property with it not being marked as a historical landmark with the intention to build. Then people just decided no you can't because we decided it's important now. So now he is stuck with a building he didn't want all because a group of people got all pissed off. If somebody owns a building that isn't a historic site it should be his decision on weather or not it becomes one. If the building did mean so much to the community why did the previous owner not draw a contract to not have the building torn down. It was probably a run down mess that would have taken more money to fix than it's worth. And it's not like it's a 3 centurn old building their are still thousands and thousands of ce turn old buildings and homes arround.

@@askjeevescosby2928 It definitely is historic if it was the only building in the entire area to survive Nazi bombing campaigns during WW2. 1920 isn't as historic, true, but considering how it survived the most deadliest war in human history, it definitely is now historic for making it all this way.
