30 years ago now since we won against Bayern Munich. Norwich made History as they were the only English club to beat Bayern Munich at there then home ground the Olympic Stadium in Munich 😊

I am a Norwich fan; watched this at uni in North London. Had a few too many and bet a 100 quid with each of my fellow housemates that Norwich would win. It was a clean up. That was a lot of dosh in those days.

Carrow Road an infinitely better football venue than Munich's Olympic Stadium. I can see why they moved! Great days for the canaries. Looking forward to seeing them back in the PL next season!

@samwisethree very true. Hansen on the BBC was the worst at the time...sky weren;t too bad. Although McInally on sky for the away leg was pro-Bayern. He looked a mug at the end of that game!!!

Well at least in 1981 we WON the UEFA Cup, instead of going out after six matches. SIX MATCHES!!! We've had more than treble that at home!! AND we've never been beaten at home! And before you say a word, we've beaten Inter Milan..... Ipswich Town - Football League Champions, F.A Cup winners, UEFA Cup winners, our history needs no introduction. WELL DONE BUDGIES!! You beat a decrepit bayern side in their own back yard, first english team to do it, very well done!!! And then you lost to Inter in the next round, making your european record p6 w2 d2 l2, that's six games in europe. SIX. Take a trip down the A140 to a team that has played 33 games in european football, yes 33. A team that has played in the european cup, cup winners cup AND EUFA Cup which we WON in 1981. We've never beaten Bayern away, but you've never came home from Holland with a European trophy. A trophy that Liverpool have won four times, that Tottenham won in 1984, no you'll never reach those heights. Keep pretending you're the pride of anglia, because you NEVER will be. History builds mountains, ours is everest. Yours is snowdon. Keep climbing! (BTW I love Goss's goal in the olympic stadium.)

I am yes, I was a bit drunk when posting it but hey, its the truth! I was more impressed with the way norwich played Inter if I'm honest, they were unlucky in the second leg at the san siro in fact they frightened the life out of inter for twenty minutes in the second half. Thought Goss and Bowen were outstanding. A little more luck and who knows what may have happened.
