Not Caring For A House

The plaintiff says he rented a home to the defendants, but claims they neglected the house and didn’t pay their rent, so he’s suing. The defendants claim the house was already in disrepair when they moved in. They say the plaintiff was so rude that they had to call the police.

Excellent advice from your mother. I'd be tempted to also do a phone video walk-through WITH the landlord, that way everyone is covered, and he cannot show photos from an earlier rental, that may have trashed the place. If anything is pointed out and he says, "I'll get that fixed right away", you have it on video.

In my experience, working in a 4 diamond casino hotel in Atlantic City, they did not put cameras in their guest halls or rooms. Cameras were for casino and hotel check-in floor; possibly restaurants and stores as well. I'd been told by management that the hotel was not allowed to put cameras in guest halls/rooms. Landlords aren't allowed to spy on or keep tabs on their lessees by use of cameras.

@dragonleheart2137
@dragonleheart2137 3 жыл бұрын
@@kattiemauvais2373 While I applaud her efforts to professionally distance herself from the plaintiff in the workplace in practice this is rarely truly feasible. There is usually office gossip in any office and it would make sense for her coworkers to ask how her husband is doing. I would be extremely surprised if she never once spoke to a work friend who was even tangentially related to the plaintiff’s working situation. Many people assume in the moment that they can separate themselves well enough to creat a true boundary between work and outside work because a given solution sounds wonderfully convenient and “it’s not like anything will go wrong”. Later we find it went very wrong and many people in the workplace now know far more about the individuals involved than they ever wanted. It’s sad but often true. Imagine instead that the defendant worked in the billing office of a substance abuse treatment facility and the plaintiff was a patient. She would not be directly involved in the plaintiff’s care but would still have access to a lot of his sensitive information and his actual caregivers. There is still a significant imbalance of power presenting itself in a way that is very uncomfortable for both. It can also lead to some weird choices such as the plaintiff installing surveillance cameras after the defendants moved in to exert additional control over the situation so he feels their positions of power are equal. In turn the defendants get annoyed because of the cameras and react because they now feel like they have less power in this relationship than the plaintiff. I am not saying either side is right or wrong as this is a rough situation for all involved. I hope they can broker some peace in the workplace now that the case has been adjudicated.

Actually there were 3 different tenants at that work place. It never was an issue until they sought me out at work several times handing me tremendous amounts of cash for the rent. YIKES! I think the landlord should have done a e-mail or text, then he would have the right. But they get to pay nothing. If this was your house, just saying.

For him to insinuate to the wife what that man was doing in the privacy of his own home (edit…loaned home) just leads me to feel like there’s a bigger issue. Maybe his equipment doesn’t work and he’s not only jealous, but a pervert, plain and simple.

So the plaintiff is basically saying: "I'm a v*your... & proud of it! And if you stay at my place and are not (in my opinion), great looking, I'm not shy about telling you about it." 😉😉😁 (Because he was smiling so big during this, JM realized it wouldn't do any good to talk about what we consider basic morals.) What a great catch!

If he was doing anything from his ❤️, why would you expect a kidney patient to do any type of strenuous work, yard work at that in the Florida heat.. Then to tell them they would be better off at a YMCA.. shameful, evilness and let me not start on the cameras. Creepy and his butt doesn't look to clean either if you was to ask me!! It looks like it's funky like 4 day old milk with a side of molded bread.. The nerve of that little big belly gremlin.. Yeah he thought she was going to help him out with a HR issue and he got the surprise of his life her ethics and professionalism wouldn't allow herself to compromise her employment or her integrity.. I salute you madam and your strength for you being there for your husband.. You guys are true warriors in heart and spirit...

A dangerous sociopath. I can take a few guesses at what his HR issue was and I bet he’d think I hacked the company database and read the file😂

I wouldn’t have helped them. They are ungrateful people and they should have did what the deal was. Shame on them.

AC,Heating and Electricity-ALL THE SAME! I live in Florida(🔶🐊🔷) and the separation of water and Trash removal, is believable...the expectation of maintaining a property by a couple,that are there,because of a major medical situation is preposterous and disgusting

What a slimy thing to do. Recording someone in the place they live is outrageous. He smiled cause he was caught out in a way he hadn't expected. I assume she was looking at the video recording that he must have brought in as proof thinking it would help his case. Truly not expecting the judge wouldn't see it that way at all. He's delusional.
