Jason got a question for you, they are going to CDL+ anything over 26k in 2022, they going to do the test in the pickup or make everyone get Rigs? How much is a plate for a semi?

Anything over 26,001 already requires a CDL for license. Always been that way. Anything over 26,001 for vehicle registration requires an apportioned plate. Depending on the state, some have weighted plates but I don’t know the difference between weights and apportioned.

We’ll let’s look at it this way, if you’re already doing non CDL and want to stick with it, grabbing a CDL and holding it for 3 years, your insurance will be great and in a lot of cases, you’ll have a seasoned CDL with experience and that could help upgrade to a new job. If you’re looking to get into trucking but not sure if you should go with CDL or non… Having a CDL does t mean that you have to use it. You can be a CDL holder and still lol run non CDL. Running non CDL just means your vehicle will always be less than 26k lbs. For me, I got mine regardless of which way I went. Do you have the cash on hand for it tho
