I suspect Lady Ochiba agreed to the marriage because she wants an ineffectual spouse that she can control. She wants to be the power behind an easily manipulated head of the nation.

@@brosnshows Well Ishidio IS up to no good, but Ochiba already controls him. She just has no official route to ruling Japan. Ishido as the dominant Regent is her path to power.
