Happy Birthday Riley! You have been an absolutely awesome friend to me, and to Celebrate, I decided to upload NOT ONE but TWO videos today, both of which are of your favorite kind of elevators, Vintage DOVER Elevators! This is the first of the two birthday uploads, these ones being of some Original 1975 Dovers at the JCPenney Washington Square which were for many years Riley's favorite elevators. Finding original elevators in Department Stores has all but officially became a thing of the past, I'm definitely very happy to see these still original! Despite being nearly 50 year old elevators in a busy store, these 2 elevators are in pretty good condition, have EXCELLENT Dry Powered Hydraulic Motors, and notice how you can reverse these elevators before the doors open! Pretty cool, eh? It's clear that these elevators aren't the most well maintained as evidenced by one elevator being a bit low on oil and most of the fixtures not lighting up, but the fact they run as well as they do shows how excellent Dover's quality was. Definitely a very nice classic set of Department Store elevators complete with Black Halo Traditional fixtures, what's not to love?
