I dig the packout system and customizing tool storage as much as the next Milwaukaholic, but I can't justify spending as much on an unnecessary accessory as I did on the big box itself. It's cool and looks pretty rigid, but if I felt the need for that mobility option, I'm fairly certain I could buy some good castors and take an hour out of my day to weld up some scrap steel, and make my own for a fraction of the cost. I know not everyone has that option. I just felt the urge to express my shock after seeing the price.

The fact that people are making mods for these systems because they are so shtty and flawed in the first place shows how much of a rip-off they truly are. I mean its looking like a steel, sectional, multi-drawer box that has worked for decades is what needs to be remembered. You didnt have to modify those lol. The price difference.... just saying. These new prpducts are getting out of control. I am not bashing the man creating a solution. But boxes with casters have been around for ever. Why should someone have to redesign this thing?

Surprised they aren’t oriented in such a way as to minimize the width. Like not perpendicular to the rails but angled to put the casters directly out in front.

You need to upgrade the rear wheels ifyou have a heavy stack on the packout because you will end up with a flat spot and it will be a bumpy ride

My only problem with these is that thry are wider than the box is. I already have some issues with taking my Packout through narrow doors or other areas. Plus, I have an extended cab truck, so neither of those options will work for me. But, I would like to make,... will soon be making an aluminum skid plate for the bottom, since the bottom of my box is getting scraped and gouged a bit more than I'd like it to. But then again, I'm the guy that wipes down or blows off all of my tools before I put them away and clean out my boxes weekly,... or at least monthly depending.
