We have always been big fans of Tarantino but this is our first time watching this one. Will Bill finally get killed? (and where is Kiddo's daughter?)

'$64,000 Question" was a gameshow in the US in the 1960's.

Thanks for the info. Still seems quite an odd number for some reason, why not 60k, 65k or 70k? 😂😂

On the show the money doubled with each correct answer. 1k, 2k, 4K, 8k, 16k, 32k, ending on the $64,000 question.

@@ptthatswhatshesaid I think the $64k came about because the show would start with a $1k question and then double on each turn -- I believe you could quit or risk losing everything you had won in order to try to double your money on each question.

On the same note, I saw this film in the late 2000s while I was in high school, and only this year did I realize that the black mamba killing two of kiddo’s targets counted towards Kiddo’s death count via name.

Nice touch: The Bride snatched out Elle's other eye with the arm that Pai Mei said belonged to him, after he took away the rock she tried to hit him with. Since that arm still belongs to Pai Mei, the old master took his revenge from beyond the grave!

The $64,000 Question was an old American game show. Don't feel bad for not getting the reference, many American reactors don't understand it.

Two Actors played multiple parts. Martial Arts Legend Gordon Liu played both General Johnny Mo (Leader of the Crazy 88s) and the old Master Pei Mai. The Sheriff from the beginning of the first film who discovers that the Bride is still alive also plays the old Pimp Estaban.

Ok, I didn't knew about Gordon Liu, but I was pretty sure the sheriff and the mexican pimp were the same actor! didn't put in the edit though, but I think he was great in both roles

The sum of the two films builds a wonderful tale about how transformative motherhood is, not only for the mother, but also for her environment. There could not have been a more negative environment for the proper upbringing of that child, and yet that unhealthy environment is transformed little by little from a vengeance first, but finally its transformation is total with the presence of the child

The 64k question became a saying after a GameSpot in late 70s and early 80s. Called the 64k pyramid. Win money for answers about questions guessing a secret word using guesses from hints from a partner

Awesome! Glad you guys enjoyed it. I actually prefer vol 2 myself but both parts are essential. The dialogue and story are what i enjoy about vol.2; vol 1 is strong on the action. I love that Tarantino made them so different.

That’s funny, I didn’t think about it before, but the girl in this video looks like the girl (Perla Haney-Jardine) that plays BB in this...she shows up years later in Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood as Hippie Selling Acid Cigarettes and plays the daughter in Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs movie.

She goes to kill the Cottonmouth, but is distracted by the army of bodyguards. When she tries to kill Copperhead, she's delayed by a four year old. (same story with Snake Charmer). When she tries to ambush Sidewinder, she's "delayed" by a shotgun. The only clear shot got was with California Mountain Snake, and we don't know if she actually finished her off! (It is not confirmed or denied; watch the end credits, there's a vague uncertainty there). I love that C.S.M. doesn't even rate a final outcome, just rendered unimportant!

My favorite is the second movie, because it has a resolution. It really bothers me when a story doesn't have one. But I also loved the gray tones of Bill and his brother. They weren't such terrible guys... they just were... killers. Idk, I felt stupid saying that.

The shot of the feet? EVERY Tarantino movie has feet in it. In KB1 it was - now, wiggle your big toe. He has a fetish. And interstingly, at the end Bill took six steps to die, not five.
