I'm not a 2 hander but a high revving one hander and I'll admit I really liked my NU when the surface but fresh. But all the reviews of the Rattler show the ball not continuing. It's possible this is a mismatched core to cover.

This ball meets the original design intent: to be earlier and stronger in the midlane, and smoother on the back part of the lane. It’s closer to what a true urethane for the tour guys. Ppl barely used the nu blue on sport bc it was too clean and responsive, making it uncontrollable.

As a rev dominant one hander (400rpm and about 14-15mph off my hand) would this ball be good on higher friction lanes when it has lane shine or a higher grit? Or would this ball need a low grit to be effective?

You are I the same boat I am. Whatever oil category a ball is consider it one wetter. A medium to heavy oil ball is heavy oil to us. Medium is wet medium to light. Short or burnt is something like a Brunswick Twist or a pin down pearl that you keep polished. Arcing motion and adding board feet is the only way to get on the right hand side.
