@@jimmysusanto6582 Hello, I managed to link my international visa debit card to my Alipay app (I used wise and moved money to RMB on the app). The only problem was sometimes I took public transport and once I scanned the Alipay app to leave it wasn't able to charge my Visa card. This left me with a tiny debt to pay before I could start using it again. I had help from a friend of mine who has a Chinese bank account in China who helped me during these situations. I hope this helps :)

You are right, it is pretty challenging but thankfully my Alipay worked 95% of the time and my translate app worked too :D

It's unsurprising that not many people want to visit China in UK. Deeply in their mind, they hate China and afraid of being imprisoned. It is helpless for chinese people like me to being in such an environment that they are unwilling to see the good side of China but trusting 'fact' without evidence. I was a college student in UCL. During my college life, I make acquaintance with a roommate from Brighton, who is one of my best friend at present. He was so curious about chinese culture and food, but also confused whether chinese people live with unhappiness and stress from govenment. I can completely understand that there will be a unconquerable gap explaining to a man who has stubborn cognition just from what he hear rather than what he feel about or what he witness. He might never change his mind if he is not attractive by chinese food and visit China as a food adventure with me this year. It's meaningless to debate whether China is good or bad if those people do not experience in person. The truth have to be fact check. Hope you have a pleasant journey in China. You can use google translate to talk with people or understand the menu by scanning the picture. Meanwhile, Chinese App called 'Zhi Fu Bao' in Chinese pinyin is also available for foreign credit card. With these two things, It will be much more convenient for a foreign tourist to explore China.

I understand that, having another person with you would make things easier. It is quite an adventure. To some people, just seeing a Walmart with palm trees in front is an exotic vacation for them. I can't even get my wife to go with me even though I visit her family while in China. LOL @@LukeBaillie
