Mihály Porogi It was for more than 15 years ago so I have already forgot. First time we moved because we were followed, but we could fix it in another way. @@nikolasmacedonites917 Its the Truth. Ask women and girls who have successfully escaped Islam to Canada, Australia, or Thailand. Their stories are shared. Islam does not want the world to know how it treats its women, because if the world knew, they would fight to free the women of Islam from constant physical and psychological abuse and damage. The Women who escaped tell their stories, and they match what is Betty Mahmoodi's account of life for Women in Islam. Islam hides its heinous treatment of women behind a dark wall of secrets and lies. Islam is the enemy of the people. ALL religions are the enemy of WOMEN. Rleigion should be outlawed, and replaced with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

It's a story of a mother, her determination and courage. it's also story of a male dominance over women in the name of religion. True religion is not the one which men are scripting. It has happened in Iran, but it can happen anywhere in the world. Name of persons and colour of religion may be different but the stress will be same and sufferers will be same as well.

@Rulya Mórrigan Ard Mhacha I became Muslim many years ago and had to endure comments like yours. Ten years later after educating my anti muslim father about the rights of women in Islam he said "hmmm..Islam gives too many rights to women". Perhaps its time to actually learn about the rights of women in Islam from proper Islamic sources. Oppression of women in Islamic countries is not due to Islam but cultural practices that were in place BEFORE Islam. Men then just cherry pick to suits their agenda

Its a shame that this movie only has 50% rotton tomatoes and that it bombed at the box office which was really disappointing since do get me wrong but I think this is one of Sally Field's best movie role with Alfred Molina. I watched this movie with my mom and she said its a really good movie so I watched it myself and she was not wrong, this film was a pretty good film and it's still up there in my top 50 favorite movies.

If Hollywood ever remakes this movie,it should be a different movie adaptation of the Not Without My Daughter book by being very accurate and faithful to the book and they should also add some more scenes and all of the characters that are from the Not Without My Daughter book to this different movie adaptation of Not Without My Daughter book instead of making some changes just like they did in this 1991 Not Without My Daughter movie adaptation or making a remake movie adaptation of the Not Without My Daughter book as a CGI live action movie just like they did in the Disney live action remake movies this time.Does anyone else agree with me?.

because of islam, thats because of mullahs and the government who forces people to wear scarf, did u see the iranian women in europe or usa? most of them wear no scarf on their head. i do agree with u if u say islam or the iranian regime is spooky but the country and culture are totally different from what people think. I am living in germany here u see also lots of muslims these day who force their daugthers to war hijab but u can not say germany is spooky, at all islam is spooky.

Not an easy film to watch. I was inspired to see it after listening to some songs by the Danish thrash metal group Artillery who have written songs about events going on in the Middle East. Reportedly during the scenes where Alfred Molina had to beat Sally Field's character, he reportedly hated doing the scenes so much that he felt absolutely rotten after and made sure sure that Sally was fine. Ironically Alfred reportedly got belted by one guy who hated his portrayal of Syed Mahmoody in this film. It's not the only time, there was a very popular soap in the UK with a very dark side and there was one scene where one of the really bad characters kills a woman and child by pushing them to their deaths. A lot of people didn't like that scene at all and one day when this actor who played that bad guy went down the pub, he got beaten up mercilessly by a couple of men who were horribly offended by his portrayal.

+Open Gates And in South Africa, Black Africans were referred to as kaffirs. In Arabic countries, unbelievers of islam are still called kaffirs. In Japan, non-Japanese people are called "gaijin". In Latin America, White, English-speaking people are called "gringos". Aborigines in Australia call White people "gubba". In China, White people are called "gweilo"--"ghosts". What's your point: That racism exists? Or are you saying that racism is solely an American trait?

No, but you can hold many of the people practicing said religion responsible. So many have messed up views of the originally-peaceful Muslim faith, but men, and their greed, have abused it. They have transformed areas of Islam into a faith of greed, violence, money and power. This film, and so many other true stories, prove this to be true.
