Ideally you would want it located somewhere in your upper grille, but for tinkering and demo purposes it looks CLEAN!

I'm assuming you can read a schematic and solder, and are just looking for the coding part of the build. I'll change the titling to "Part:1 The Build" & do a "Part:2 Coding & Testing" later. I stopped by Cannonball Garage last week and ordered up my ALP system. I should have fun migrating the two systems together. You also made me make a CARPUTER. I'm going to put it in the printable UNIDEN Pi case that I sent you a picture of awhile back :)

Made this but it seems to boot loop, used the exact parts and code. The guide says it can be used with an android app, which one is that ? Do i have to activate it with the app or is it enough to just turn on the foglights ?

What would happen if some one was to run a radar at the same time as a cop? Would you able to clock each others speed correctly? Same question for lidar?

According to google.. "Can police radar guns interfere with each other? In rare situations yes they can, but it would be extremely rare to find two police radar guns that operate on the same exact frequency. Also there are safeguards to alert the officer if interference is affecting the radar gun with audible and visual alerts." It sounds like they would get an alert if something was interfering with there signal and only interfere with the radar gun if they were on the exact same frequency.

Since the rear of the vehicle is much more flat than the front, increasing reflectivity of the laser beam, do you plan on installing one on the rear of the vehicle to defeat those officers that choose to sit on overpasses and enterance ramps, dark, to tag the vehicle after it has passed? Georgia comes to mind specifically.

Kudos to pointing out a state that shoots from the rear :) I plan on getting an ALP system in the fall. Two heads in the front and one in the rear. I have a background in Computers & Electronics so I thought this would be a fun project to tinker around with. I'm sure you already know, ideally the heads should be mounted in the grille of my vehicle for best coverage and not the fog light area. It does look clean though!

If i want to install a cruise control for my base model honda fit gp5, do i just have to buy wheel switches buttons or i have to buy a whole cruise control kit?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you'll have to buy a whole cruise control kit. Some cars come prewired for all the accessories. The Honda Fit does not. I didn't see any plugs on the factory wiring harness to add fog lights to the base model Honda Fit, so I'd assume it wasn't set up to add on cruise control either.

Does it need to be put in a light housing like that or could it be mounted in a grille so its closer to the license plate? Also, this would just be wired into the headlights or it could be wired separately to a different switch?

The electronics need to be in some type of waterproof housing. It is highly recommended to install the laser jammer heads (2x) towards the upper grille for best coverage. You can wire it to a separate switch. I actually don't have fog lights, so for testing and demonstration purposes it has been temporarily mounted in the fog light area.

Hi, do you have a system that warns you when you are being shot at and then allows you to turn off your jammer? I know the commercial versions do that does yours as well? Or is there a resource so I can add that to the build shown here?

Hi there. No this system does not give you any type of warning when you are being shot at with a laser. I'm sure it can be programmed in, but that's beyond my ability. Allegedly, the app for this device will pull map data from the area you're travelling in, and then shoot that speed back to the laser with the option of adding 1-5mph. Example: If you're travelling 80mph in a 70mph zone, the fog light will give a signal telling the laser your going 70mph with the option of making it say 70-75mph. Hypothetically speaking, you shouldn't need to turn off the fog light.

quick question is your setup only for the MIRT bc it seems for the laser jammer, u need a sensor to trigger what laser gun it is and an mini LCD screen am i wrong?

The IR board does have a light sensor on it. Everything is controlled through an app. (Android Only)

For best coverage, its best to be used on the outside center of your vehicle. (License plate area) The window may cause some interference. Mine was placed in the fog light area (not recommended) for demonstration purposes and aesthetics.

I do not. The instructions or schematic is online / GitHub. The device is easy to make but programming it can be difficult. I wouldn't heavily rely on this device, but it's worth a few hours of your time and $10
