How to Sew scrunchies like a Pro! - Join me in my shop as I show you some of the ways I cut and mark fabric for making Hair Scrunchies in my Business. I will also show you step by step 3 different methods to sew a hair scrunchie quickly with professional results.

I cut my large scrunchies 7” wide and can be 40”- 46” long depending on the fabric.
I like the scrunchie to look full even when wrapped around a twice.
The ¼” elastic is cut at 10” long so can easily be tied like a balloon.
Adjust fabric and elastic length to your liking😊. Have fun sewing!!

I cut the big scrunchies 7’’ wide and the length can be from 40”- 50” depending on weight of fabric and how it gathers. I try to just use width of fabric without the selvage and adjust it from there if it looks too full. I have a couple other videos on scrunchies and will be uploading another one soon showing how to turn loops if you want to make it that way. Have a great day!!

Go for it! Just start off with a basic good quality machine. Then practice on scraps to learn how to control your fabric and machine. Hopefully you will catch the bug for sewing! There Are a lot of videos out there that just show a lot of unnecessary steps or just aren’t good practices. It’s good you watch a lot and try to filter them out. It’s also good to learn different methods. Please share and check out some of my other videos.🙏😊

Thanks so much for this awesome tutorial!! It's genius! I love the idea of not having to overlap the elastic and then sew it, it can be a headache, especially with such thin elastic...I plan on trying these out for my up and coming baby and toddler business, thanks again!! ❤

I came up with that method a long time ago as I don’t like threading things and turning tubes. This is also another one of my favourites kzfaq.info/get/bejne/Z52CeMiGscnbhH0.html. You can do it! Just make sure to keep sides even when sewing so opening will be even at the end. Cheers!
