i'm really happy with what noteful has come to, though it would really need an update on its shapes engine cuz it's not as intuitive as apple's or other competitors. and eventually an ocr text search would be good too although the developer said the app might go down the subscription route if he was to include it.

Yeah, OCR seems to come from a third-party developer who charges a subscription for it. :( That is why we are happy to live without it.

Ruler tool is very useful in math class. It allows to be more precise and it's just good visual hint for students. Teacher is able to show how to create shapes with more "smoothness": the process of construction is more "visually continuous" (angle values are shown, parallel transfer now is actually "transfer" and so on). I'm happy to have this tool.Thanks to developers!!

Crop feature is useful when I want to enlarge an image in a PDF file to improve visibility of the image or graphic. I suppose ‘shrink and enlarge’ feature (if you can maintain the same proportions) may also achieve the same result. Thanks for your review. 👍🏻

Noteful left Notability and GoodNotes just behind. For me, the most useful thing is that you can select and copy, then paste it as a transparent png in another app, automatically. I use this everyday for math exercises in my documents.

Yes, we have it on our to-do list, but as always MarginNote has a lot of moving pieces. Since we haven't covered it for a while, we're going to need to study it for a bit.

Question: I always choose ruled very wide and yet it doesn’t seem very wide, not as wide as it did on Notability or good notes. Could it be because I’m using an iPad mini should I choose a different paper size other than a four I really would just like to have a little more space between the lines but even when I picked the whitest, it’s just not wide enough, any ideas or thoughts on how I can fix this?

The only fix we can think of is getting custom page templates because the templates in Noteful are not as wide as the ones in Notability (especially).

Definetely noteful, you can basically do anything in its free version and get 10 notebooks. as opposed to goodnotes. i myself used it for a couple months in college before purchasing the pro version.

I loved to use Noteful but on the 18th of May the app started to constantly crash when I try to use it (like every 2 to 5 Minutes). Files that worked perfectly fine before don't work now either. I am so sad but I have to return to GN for now because I just can't keep my workflow going with Noteful right now 😪

Really? Did you upgrade your device to iPadOS 17.5 by any chance? We had a couple of apps act up that way. Some of them we couldn't open at all. Rebooting your iPad might help clear the bug.

Noteful needs so much improvements. For exp. İ use it for my lessons and i import lot of pdfs. When i want to search a word i have to do one by one. I cannot search it in all my pdfs at the same time. İt’s so tiring..

Unfortunately, Noteful still has the worst shape recognition out of all the major apps. So many times, my circle turns into a line or my triangle turns into an arc
