For people who don't use Samsung tablets, Notein seems to me to be the app with the most potential. I use an S21 and was planning to buy an S9FE, but because of the price, I decided on the Xiaomi pad 6. What I miss most about it is Samsung Notes, the rest is quite OK. This can change things for the better.

For me, it is by far the best note taking app for android. Even the things you criticised in this review, I find very useful. For example, I love to see page numbers on the outline. I also love that the navigation/options are hidden on the home screen. Of course, they should give us the option to change that to our liking, but not change it for everyone.

Is there a way to bookmark pages within a PDF? I have a very large style guide I use for work, and reference a few pages a lot more than others. It would be great to be able to quickly click between bookmarks

The work around for adding images from other sources is split screen, drag and drop method or use a file manager.

I wanted to explain the pressure eraser. If you press with pressure on the screen with any tool without moving your pen, it turns into an eraser. The sensitivity is what dictates on when the eraser activates.

After pdf annotation will the edited content be automatically saved to my original pdf in the device itself?

No, the file you exported to Notein will be edited but not the original file in your file manager. If you want to have a copy of the edited file, you can export/save as pdf the Notein note to your device

Hi Ropsie. Thank you for your videos and reviews. I greatly appreciate them. You are very thorough and clear. Although I am a new Samsung Galaxy Tab user, I am still finding your reviews extremely valuable. I am in need of a tablet for medical studies and and medical notetaking. So far I am becoming frustrated with the Android digital note taking experience and I am considering returning my Samsung Table for an iPad Pro. iPad apps are just far superior with digital notes from what I am seeing on videos. Would you recommend an iPad Pro over a Android tablet? Especially for heavy note takers, such as people in the medical field. I also watched your video on GoodNotes 6 and your dissatisfaction with their new subscription model and your view that Apple apps are becoming increasingly expensive. I would appreciate any input you may have. Thank you and please continue the great work!

Hi! I think that ipad air 5 or ipad 10 would fit you. I have an ipad 10 and its great, the apps for notetaking are far better than android apps.

Hello! I haven't tried Android apps extensively yet (we are working on that), but for heavy note-taking, any iPad is probably much better. There are a lot more apps that are much better than what you get on Android. And not all apps are going subscription, which is good.

Is this s9u samsumg? Is s pen have own preshure sensitivity in all writing apps like word powerpoint xodo and all pdf reading apps or the app must have that feature to enable it? Is it worth to use Samsung tabs with these apps for pdf writing and making presentation of annotations or ipad2022 have more better apps?

If you can find one used, I'd get the s7fe with the keyboard cover or a small bt keyboard. The s7FE can output to a monitor with right adapter and run DEX. The new s9fe can't output to a screen but can run DEX.

We’re still debating that ourselves. The iPad apps are becoming more and more expensive. We feel if they all go subscription, perhaps the Samsung Tabs will be a good alternative. This is s8u, and the S pen seems to have its own pressure sensitivity. At least for the apps we have tried.

I m a MBA finance student need a good free note taking app and this one even though behind pay wall seems good enough to invest in. Are there any apps close to this ? Both free and paid. Also in note in saving formats for a few things like concept models to use in problem solving formats for accountancy will be appreciated

Samsung Notes is the best app we have seen so far, but we're still trying more apps. We don't have much accounting experience, but most seem to use Excel for that. But we'll do a bit of research.

@@PaperlessX my studies are more about tabular forms of accounts like profit and loss account and balance sheet formats where I have to write entries on each side. Usually I have to draw those tables and formats in Samsung notes but I can't save it as a page or drawing inside Samsung notes like a sticker or repeating use graphics. Therefore I want an app which has a feature to save drawn diagrams which we can call out from inside the app library

Eraser pressure sensitivity, is like controlling eraser opacity, it may be very helpful in drawing, or painting. Let say you have colored a person hair black, now you want to erase it by applying various pressure. If you understand what i mean

Notein for my uses, so much to enjoy about them and they are continuously updating. Depends on what you really need from a note taking app really. Not one of the these apps have it ALL so to speak
