i got into nothing but thieves a little while back when i first heard 'amsterdam'. i fell in love with conor's vocals almost immediately; there was a kind of pain and longing behind the way he sang that resonated deeply within me. i can honestly say that their album has changed my life. it's been a long time since i've been able to connect so emotionally with an album as i did theirs. this song in particular (my favourite) speaks to me in such a way that strikes pain inside me. as someone who has always suffered with inner demons and feeling broken, a mess, impossible to love, i can relate to the lyrics so much. every time i listen to this track, i feel like something deep inside of me is trying to break out - feelings, emotion, frustration and heartache. i fucking love this band so much. you guys have helped save me and i can't thank you enough for existing. never stop making incredible music.
