At the beginning of WoD there was an absolute flood of them introduced. It was also before the money printing garrisons had managed to completely ass fuck the economy. It was the perfect time to get one.

@@mordor1779 Yes, but not like, Scarab Lord rare (on retail at any rate). But the thing is, Asmongold's mount-offs try to stay away from 'bought' mounts including collector's edition, TCG, and store mounts both because he generally doesn't find any prestige in it and as a show of good faith toward the others in the competition--it's one thing to earn a mount that's not available anymore through ingame effort or getting lucky on the BMAH and another to just buy it off a third-party grey market.

1500 days ... 36'000 hours. Damn ... If I wasn't so late to WoW I'd have attempted a similar achievement but that is an insane amount of time and commitment. Imagine farming all of these mounts without even knowing that Asmon's tournament was to exist in the future. You must truly have to enjoy farming mounts. This is such a good way for dedicated players to flex their achievements.

Soon as I saw my boy Icebringer in the semi's I put all my channel points on him, He has been on that mount grind before mounts even had a tab, he spent days in TBC summoning people in that could start Coren Direbrew so he could get that mount, RIP Barthilas Alliance and rip Gigantor. He has the "new" and updated Scarab Lord mount but not the original one in his collection - that's because the old version does not get transferred when you transfer an original Scarab Lord character to a new account, but the new re-skin does. He does have some gladiator mounts and the original Amani Warbear which do not get transferred between accounts (the bear never did, and the glad mounts don't after it got changed), meaning he has obtained some of these legitimately, but I absolutely guarantee you the SL is bought, and so is the rank 1 title more than likely since he isn't using it. That's also the reason these fake "collectors" don't have OldSchool Rides.

Some of these mounts like the scarab lord mount is one of the oldest and most difficult legendary mounts to get. Watch videos on how to obtain the scarab lord title/mount it’s fucking insane (and could only be done in vanilla). To have dedicated that much time in farming reputation and rare drop mounts while still getting rank 1 every season in pvp is absolutely mind boggling. Usually you’re a god if you do one or the other.

Scarab lord mount is god tier because it is unique, amongst the oldest mounts, and is completely unobtainable since burning crusade save for some new servers that were added after vanilla but that will never happen again in the retail version of WoW.

This was fun to watch. I haven't played WoW in years, but I loved collecting mounts when I did play. I was one of the first people on my server to get the Dragonhawk mount from the 100 mount achievement. I stopped playing shortly after that. I guess quite a few mounts have been added since then lol.

How the fuck can people have this much playtime? That's about 8 hours every fucking day since WoW released. Even if I played every hour Im not sleeping or working, I couldn't play that muich every day. And these 8 hours are just an average. If you go on vacation for two weeks, you have to make up for that time. I wish I had that much time to play the game :(

Like scarab lord is probably on it's own like 550 people total in EU + US (old numbers from MMO champ), considering how few of those probably have continued to be top pvp'ers since that time I dare say he is at worst one in a handful, if not unique.

I haven't played WoW since the early days of TBC... I just looked it up and realized that means it's been nearly 13 years since I played WoW and am considering getting back into it with Shadowlands... holy hell how has it been that long already and clearly I have missed so much.

I am still bummed I didn't get the Amani War Bear. Healed ZA for my guild every week and I lost the rolls until I was the last person to not have it on the last week. Nobody logged in and the rest is history. FK

You still have the experience and the story. Trust me that counts for so much compared to these days. The game is just so bare now that your experience and failure to get the mount is more unique than what we get today. Look at the mount obtaining we get to look forward to in shadowlands....🥀

wow! what a mount off! lol, when i saw the achievement for AQ i lost it instantly, i remember when they announced the opening for AQ but didnt attend it unfortunately. i think one person from each server was picked to accept that mount at the event to open the door. really cool

world of warcraft is officially 16 now, so he will 100% have played for that long. 6.5 if he played for 15 years, 6.2 if he played for 16. If he played for 5 days of the week, it would go up to 8.5 hours each day for 16 years. The dude legit has put a bit more time into this game, that it would take you for a full time job. Actually, at a full time job you get vacation time - i haven't even calculated for that. So yeah... absolutely insane. Seams barely possible to be honest.
