I feel I need to share my experience hearing this piece for the first time since it made such an impact on me.. I was in the car with my two daughters (5 and 8 years old), we had parked outside a grocery store and my wife was inside the store at the moment. The kids were in the back seat fighting over a toy and my temper was just about to run out, when I got a notification on my phone saying that Louis Cole's latest track was about to go live on YT. I turned around and told my kids to "stop fighting and listen to this new Louis Cole track with me instead!". Since my kids also like LC they actually stopped fighting and we looked at the 10 second count down on my phone together. The video started and I was completely blown away! None of us said a word during the whole three and a half minutes the video was playing! When the video ended I felt really emotional and had tears running down my cheeks when my oldest daughter calmly and sincerly said "That was really beautiful...". Her words went straight into my heart and for this moment I am forever grateful! Thank you Louis! Your talent, artistery and uniqueness is something that rarely comes around and we're so lucky that you wan't to share it all with us, from this masterpiece to the stuff where you're ”just” clowning around… I hope you are feeling better, cuz if there is someone who deserves complete wellbeing, it's you. Take the time you need, we’ll be here patiently waiting for you when You are ready to praise us with your creations.

I can recall a rather recent interview of Louis where he talked about the 4th movement of Mahler's 5th Symphony being one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. I didn't know that symphony, so I gave it a listen and boy, the 4th movement indeed pierces right through your soul. And once you have listened to it, you can feel it shine through "nothing". Same kind of awestruck nothingness. Thanks Louis. Your music has helped me beyond words, and I know I am not the only one out here thinking that. nothing is a masterpiece.

Saves my posting a similar thing. I was awestruck when he called out a favourite piece I also love. I didn't know it's name but recalled it was by Mahler so bought his entire works to track it down. A time before music streaming. It was a song I had on repeat on the eve of being best man to my best buddy. Yup, special song indeed. You can feel the magic at work here.

Louis’ orchestral writing has gotten sooo incredibly good. This is absolutely beautiful There are still very distinctive “Louis” elements.. phrasing and chords that def identify this as his and tie it back to earlier songs but this is a standalone piece of beauty Well done Louis.. i’ve loved seeing and hearing your work grow and mature and I can’t wait to see what’s next

Marvelous! Very reminiscent of the crescendo in the Adagietto of Mahler's 5th symphony. If you haven't heard it, look it up here on KZfaq. It's one of the great moments in symphonic repertoire... a moving love song Gustav wrote for his wife, Alma. Louis is a seriously talented musical voice.
