Nicola needs a man - man someone mature , and really into her and ready to commit. Nicola and Luke have an amazing 5 year soul friendship and that’s adorable. As long as Luke Newtons GF (who he’s known since December 2023) and her friends and her family don’t say or do anything nasty towards our Queen 👑 Nicola I’m good!

I don't understand why some people view him not being with Nicola as a personal rejection. I think they can't separate him from Colin and the fantasy that created for them. Luke and Nicola are clearly close and great friends, since you can't fake the real affection between them. Not all great relationships have to be romantic. They said on many occasions that they have a close relationships as friends. Yes they flirt and have great chemistry, but that doesn't mean they lied to people. It is sad that he likely kept it out of the media because he was afraid of the negative backlash which is a pretty sad commentary about social media and how people behave. At the end of the day, these people are actors and they aren't the characters they play. They deserve to have their privacy. I'm always shocked when people say they can't believe in a show's romance when they find out the actors aren't together in real life. I think there is an element of people who don't have romantic love in their own life and are projecting that, but it becomes destructive when that shifts to them doing it to the actors. I hope people will leave them alone.

I loved the chemistry between Luke and Nicola and I hope that this friendship doesn't end and it would be very cool if Antonia and Nicola were friends too, that makes the relationship between Luke and Antonia so much smoother. Yes people, you can be best friends with the opposite sex with that person being in a committed relationship. As long as everyone is secure with each other it works! I've been married for almost 34 years and when I was dating my husband he introduced me to his best friend who was a woman 3 years older than him and if she liked me then he knew we would last forever. I loved her at first sight just like I did my husband and she soon became my best friend. Sadly we lost her to brain cancer a few years ago but I never felt anything untrustworthy between them, she was like my 2nd sister, my husbands big sister and our kid's Auntie. And yes, she was right there when we got married, she didn't want in the wedding party but we sure partied before and after and she was a part of my bachelorette party And the grooms party.

People really need to stop fantasizing about actors getting into real romances just because they star in something together. The show is their job. There's so much noise about who Luke is dating, when more attention should be on how talented and brilliant Nicola is. Not a new girlfriend. They have been together since January and she’s been on the world tour. Not new!

I honestly think people are so in need of a romance relationship in their lives, they go to the extremes of shipping two very much REAL persons (not their characters, which would be normal). Disregarding their thoughts, feelings, and a number of other things. They want what they want, and if the persons involved (in this case: Nicola and Luke) don't go according to plan, all of sudden, one of them is a villain, or a bad person, or... You name it. I don't see anything wrong with what has happened. We all knew this was a PR stunt. It was OBVIOUS. They behaved like scripted while being themselves, and since they were in it together and friends before that, what better way than going through this that with your best friend? Sometimes chemistry isn't sexual, but people see what they want to see. I'm sure things would have turned twice as sour had it been Nic the one coming out and saying she's in a relationship. She's been already subject of slander because of her weight (because, duh, fat girls, or in this case, curvy ones, can't be leading actresses **I'm rolling my eyes so far back inside my head, I'm feeling muscles I didn't know I had**). They could have waited a week to release this info "yeah you see me romancing a woman who meets all the beauty standards of the regency era, but in reality I am with a tanned skinny model type as you'd expect" is what it is giving. Also people's parents say a lot about them and his gf's mother liking all the hate comments on Nicola isn't sitting well with me--likely the reason why they announced this right after the finale came out.

They may not be a "real couple" on screen or off" They are a couple in a very, very strong "friend zone" in that kind of love Nicola could careless about his sexual romantic love of this woman.
